| Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

| Angela Swann Full Name: Angela Swann
Age: 18
Classes: Rogue/Fighter (Even spilt)
Race: Human
Alignment: TN
Deity: Mist
Short Bio/Description:
Angela grew up in the better parts of Lorindar in a caring and loving family. Her father Edward Swann had a quite large and prosperous merchant business trading all sorts of goods. Angela had lived a protected life with her sister Angelica, under the ever watchful eye of their mother Lisbeth. The sisters did not really need anything and anything they needed they got, but still it was as if they missed something.
As the sisters came into their teens they started to venture out into the city. Angela had a knack for sneaking around and soon got them in company with some older kids. They began to roam the streets stealing an apple here, a purse there and so on. Angelica did never steal; she didn’t really have the talent for it. She was far more interested in magic, and sometimes it was almost like she could feel a tingle in her body when she thought of it.
As time went on the sisters became a solid part of the group of now youngsters. The sisters with their raven black hair and fair skin was something few expected in such company. Angela soon became good at sneaking of with a full purse while Angelica distracted the unlucky man they had set as their target. Still they seldom kept the money for themselves, for they could always go back to their parents for more. And so they did every night, they sat in their pretty dresses and spoke about culture and business with their parents as they had supper. Later on they would sneak out a window and return to the streets and bars where they would have fun as they called it. Then they would not be dressed in their pretty clothes, but common outfits so they did not stand out.
One evening they met with Lothar who was more or less their leader. He had a plan, for he had heard of a hidden entrance to the warehouse of a merchant in town. It was Edward Swann, and he wanted they all should go in and rob the warehouse. Angela and Angelica had never told anyone their last name, and when they heard this they were startled. They could not rob their own father, so instead they the same night devised a plan. They would tell their father about this and accept his punishment. With low heads they saw their father the next morning and told him of their nightly adventures in Lorindar. He was chocked to say the least, his precious daughters hanging out with rabble in the streets and stealing. As they told of the coming robbery and told him that they knew how the thieves would enter he decided they would have a somewhat lesser punishment. They would do chores at the house all day, every day for one year. They accepted with hanging heads, and soon they were set to work. The same night the thieves tried to break into the warehouse, but were caught since they had been ratted out by the sisters.
One year of hard work and not leaving the house passed, but as the sisters again left the house to venture into the streets of Lorindar on a sunny day they were suddenly surrounded by their former friends. Traitors they were called and daggers were drawn. The sisters ran as fast as they could, bursting through the circle of former comrades. They ran for their lives, for they knew that they would not be able to fight all these. They ran to the nearest constable and explained the situation after which he escorted them to their home. Their father did not like this news, but the sisters suggested they left town for a while. If they sailed on one of their father’s ships they would be safe and away from harm, at least from the ruffians of town. They discussed this for lengths before it was decided they would join a ship headed for Tibum in the kingdom of Roldem the next morning.
Journal of Angela Swann
First entry:
i am normally not a big writter, but there is not much else to do at night on a ship. It has been over a month since the attack in Lorinda. I most say that i miss my parents and think of them often, maybe i should talk to Angelica about writing them a letter she allways were better with words then I. Aside from that i find the life of a salior fascinating and have even begun to worship the goddess of the sea Mist, there is something about her the just feels so right, maybe it is because of the chaos and power she represent, the unpredictebal in her natur, the lure of the a calm sea just before the storm hits, or maybe i just see myself in her, the need to ride the edge, trying to tame the chaos, the feeling i get standing on the deck of the ship during a thunderstorm that so speaks to me.
I have even seen Angelica pray to her, it is not a because i feel ashamed but for me prayers are a thing of privacy, besides if Mist is as powerfull a deity as the sailors claim then she will know what is in my hearth.
Sometimes at night i find my mind wandering back to the last encounter with our”friends” in Lorinda, and i can not help but to think that i did not do all that i could, if i have had another weapon then the knife i use to cut purses and if i know how to use it then just maybe we would not have had to run and hide. I think i will go and have a talk to the handsome young Thomas. After seeing him in battle against the seamonsters the other week i have no doubt that he can teach me to use a sword, If he agrees to teach me, and Angelice have the gift of sorcery as she suspect and hopes, then we will be abel to do great things together. Hmm Angelica just came in she says that we will hit the port in Karthy on Rilara in a day or two, perhaps we should go ashore and try our luck on land. | | |

| RE: Angela Swann Nice Bio but I question her alignment as CG since she is an unrepentant thief Perhaps you should think again about that aspect of her as she hasn't even got the excuse of 'robbing the rich to give to the poor'. So I don't think a Good alignment is really appropiate unless you can convince me otherwise
