| Character Development Quests (CDQ's) This is the forum that you will use to sign up for character development quests (CDQ's). Please read the stickies in this forum and follow the proedures. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Registration is fast, simple and absolutely free. So please. join our community today!

| Pankoki - CDQ/WLDQ TIMES: PST Nights (6 PM PST - 12 AM PST). No Weekends. WLDQ Slot: Empty and Available CDQs in Progress - CDQs in Planning
- Brac'ar/EdTheKet
- Connor/Dorganath Player Waiting List - CDQs Finished
- Jaelle/Carillon - August 13, 2009 - Acacea/faedanz - October 19, 2009
- Andrew/RollinsCat - February 03, 2010
- Jaelle/Carillon WLDQ - March 09, 2010 *********************** My DMing style is pretty open ended, there are only two basic rules. 1) Your actions will have reactions. 2) The more thought you put into your roleplay, the more rewards you will get.
Number one is pretty straightforward. If you decide to insult the epic spellcaster NPC, the Finger of Deaths might just come. Number two is a little more complex, but it basically comes down to the fact the more detailed and thoughtful your roleplaying and emoting is (within reason), the more you will get out of me as a DM, as an example: After spending many days in battle, there is a large field of wounded that need tending to... If your answer is: *Helps them heal through the days* Then even the most epic heal check will give you a respectable but not overwhelming reply, however if you were to reply: *Spends the days and nights with all the wounded, making sure that all the most severe cases are handled expediently, yet not ignoring the comfort of all the other who fought. My character will then cook his/her special delicious bringer up recipe and takes considerable effort to distribute it amongst all the soldiers, always bearing a warming smile and an ear to those who might need it* With that, and a relatively okay check, you will get wonders and recognition.
So keep in mind that please and it will save us a lot of misunderstanding!

| Re: Pankoki - CDQ/WLDQ I am reopening this with a gigantic caveat. The MMO will absolutely, one hundred percent, take precedence over everything and anything Layonara related. However, during my free times at night I am finding time to DM and so I figured I would open this thread once more.
Submit here at your own risk, knowing that it can take a while to get the quest up and running and that, once again, if there's any changes in my schedule, the MMO will always be number one in priority.

And yes, MMO takes precedence. I don't mind waiting. *smiles*

No worries on delays. I still need to cement this in my head, but I'm guessing you already have some idea. | | |

| Re: Pankoki - CDQ/WLDQ Acacea's CDQ done. Waiting on PMs from EdTheKet and Lynn1020. Carillon and I are working on scheduling and logistics for the WL.
Also note the slight change on availability from no Tuesdays and Sundays to simply no weekends.

| Re: Pankoki - CDQ/WLDQ Two questions
1. Do you have open slots?
2. Are you ok to deal with green dragon cult stuff?
I ask number 2 since Dezza's time zone is just way off from mine. I am really just a PST late night player. Let me know what you think.

Did you know the forum filters automatically get rid of your all-caps posts and make them Only Capitalizing The First Letter? Normally convenient I am sure, but at the moment, OUTRAGEOUS!

| Re: Pankoki - CDQ/WLDQ That is pretty outrageous I admit, sometimes you just want to scream the one thing and having to come down from that excitement to explain to the forums that its okay is pretty much a let down.
Anyway! Going to try and restart this thingie thing, can people who are still interested in a CDQ PM me? Even if its a simple "I'm interested!" just to make a working list.
Much appreciated!

| Re: Pankoki - CDQ/WLDQ *nudges her name into the eventual line* Don't mean to just add to the chaos, but after you're done all the people waiting now, I'd be interested in a CDQ with you to wrap up a few loose ends from the WLDQ. I know it'll be a while, I'm sure! Just putting my name in line.
