She had had enough of being held back and moved from town to town to sate her mothers need to hide from the man that Brisbane would someday come to call father. She knew not a soul other than her maid and mother who were now left behind without a care to look back. She finally was able to set foot into the woods and fields that had been calling to her from the other side of hard locked window her whole life. Brisbane abandoned her arcane teachings at first opportunity answering the call of the land. She spent most of her time in the woods fast falling in love with all the creatures but gaining a special affinity for the bears. Still an innocent idealist Bris decided to try to find her father. It was a trip to the mountains looking for oil she was invited on by someone calling himself Seth that started her on the right path, this is where she met her future husband Plenarius. Plen and Bris became fast friends both sharing an appreciation for the land and a faith in the mother Katia. They were almost always together from that point forward, he showing her the lands and introducing her to the birds that he so loved and telling her of Eon. It wasn’t long before they fell in love and decided to share a home together. It was not long after that Brisbane met another man that would change her life forever. Plenarius introduced her to his good friend Rhizome the high druid. Bris spent every moment she could spare and he was available with Rhizome learning the ways of the protectors of nature. Her affinity with all animals grew especially with bears, she learned to tame wild creatures and to call from the lands energies for both protection and offense. She was finally beginning to feel alive, continuing to learn elven for the day she met her father and enjoying what the world had to offer despite the ugliness she encountered...that’s when the letter appeared in Plen’s hand as he slept. Her mother came clean finally about Bris’ father and the nature of her side of the family. She wasn’t keeping Bris shut in to avoid embarrassing the man she loved... she was keeping Bris shut in to protect the line of mages. Bris gained two things from this letter... the disgust of her mother with a general distaste for her arcane learning’s and the name of her father. She was in awe... a man she had already come to be friends with and respect...Rhizome. She looked up from the letter to the man standing across the path with tears in her eyes...Irrace father. Plen took his friend Enzo aside and left Bris and Rhizome to acquaint them selves as family. Plen, Rhiz and Bris traveled about together often, though a bit odd with her father and love best friends. Often Amelia, Rhizome’s love at the time, would join them as well. Eventually Plen asked Bris to marry him. He had been waiting to find her father to ask his permission. The proposal was a grand affair the birds and bears came out to look on and the ents and lady of the land came through to offer their blessings. Finally the day of the wedding arrived. Bris floated about near the Island at lake Palden passing the time with Ozy who fascinated her greatly and Celgar who poured on an endless flow of questions. As Bris consulted with the caterers setting up the bar she noticed Plens best man, Enzo, go running past as fast as his legs would carry him. Worried she looked to the lands for answers a bird sacred to Plen flying to her to inform her that an evil had beset upon Plen in his time to prepare. It was later learned that this evil was Blood himself. He arrived to tell Plen of the ire this wedding brought him. Finally Bris saw Enzo pass back to the grove and she relaxed a bit. Word came that all was well and Plenarius was alright so Bris with a sigh of relief headed to the hollow near the gates of Lelion. Bris stood with Rhizome and one of the only women she called a true friend, Katrien awaiting the moment while Tom, her adopted son, would not take his place with the men. Finally after a stern word and a twist of the ear from Rhizome Tom took his place with and it was time. She headed to the Island to find a bridge crafted by T’akarsh himself leading to it and as she set foot the finest bridge shed ever encounters she saw all seven sisters gathered on the island with her friends and her soon to be husband. The next bit of her life was fairly calm despite being shaken be the warning of Blood and his appearance in Hlint, as well as the lady of the lands constant warnings about Plen. But then something happened that would mark the change of optimistic Brisbane for the rest of her life. Rhizome was following the lady of the land and asked Amelia and Brisbane to join him. Gladly Bris followed as well and soon they found the Lady was leading them to the area of bridges, a place of prophecy. The lady simple walked off the edge and disappeared then shortly after Rhizome appeared on the other side of the chasm. Bris willed herself to bird form and flew to his side finding him in a trancelike state that she couldn’t stir. Looking around to find the source of the trance she saw the large tree now accessable on the other side of the bridge and felt a draw to it her curiosity getting the better of her. As she walked towards it she found herself frozen at the gate near the bridge, unable to think or move, she was drawn to the entrance feeling her very soul being removed from her possession. With a flip of fate she was able to break free but barely running back to her father she found him back on the other side of the chasm. Turning bird she flew back to him scared and unsure of her own existence. But Rhizome didn’t say a word to her. He was busy comforting Amelia who was upset that she could not cross the chasm as well. Enraged at Amelia’s selfishness and her fathers disregard Bris fled from the area and slumped at the crystal near its entrance. A long time passed while Bris sat in tears not sure anymore if she was thankful to be alive, feeling her father had cast her aside for a girlfriends childish whining. She prepared what spells the mother would grant and began to head back to Mistone when the two finally joined her. Amelia seeming concerned but at this point Bris had no energy left to speak the story... she simply said... “I almost died... I wish I would have.” Bris started to see what was wrong with the world at this point and developed a deep dislike for Amelia a distrust for her father and a general distaste for people in general. When she tried to share what happened after trip to Rofirein’s temple with a big group of people no one listened not even Plen. This was the beginning of a slippery slope for Brisbane. She started to become more introverted and didn’t go out of her way to help people out anymore her only solace found in nature. Bris gave birth to a baby boy named Barrett and spent most of her time trying to teach him the ways of the land. Finally after a time Bris and Rhizome talked and worked passed this rough spot but Bris still couldn’t let it go. She tried hard to work on the upslope with Amelia and was actually managing when she was dealt another blow. Rhizome had found another woman. A druid named Luna. Rhizome decided to end things with Amelia and the scene that ensued pushed Bris down that slippery slope some more. Rhizome slipped into a depression and threatened to leave Mistone entirely to go spend time at the great oak. Bris felt abandoned and tossed aside again for the discord between these two women that she neither liked nor trusted. Bris was convinced that Luna was only with her father as potential for advancement rather than any real love. Rhizome decided to stay and Bris tried to tolerate Luna but found it hard to accept her short comings. When fighting Luna would stand in the back firing her bow like a coward or just slink about unseen. She would nitpick at Bris ceaselessly until Bris would snap back then cry to Rhizome about it like a child. Bris decided to distance herself further yet and watched Luna. When Luna thought no one was watching she would use her wolf to fight giants but if anyone else even considered it she would cry cruelty and go running to Rhizome. The anger within Bris continued to well and still she tried to fight it. Lia asked Bris to sit the council of the arcane alliance. Apprehensive at first do to the distaste her mother left her with for the arcane Bris accepted with the hopes of a diversion and something that she could call her own. At this point in her life Bris desperately wanted something to call her own so that she wasn’t living in the shadow of her husband. She found only more hatred and betrayal. Lia only invited her on to use her and Bris would not be used. It was about this time that Plen started becoming scarce his duties as the bird lord and the eyes of Katia taking him away from his family. They slowly drifted apart and Bris grew closer to his friend Enzo. Bris and Enzo spent a lot of time talking and fighting at each others side. Enzo’s friendship became a very important thing to Bris and led to her slipping down further. Lia was the cause of more angst to Bris in the times that followed. Asking to aid her in treacherous plans and being generally unpleasant. Bris slipped further eventually leading to Bris and some ugliness with a rune. This pushed Bris farther from the arcane and sent her deepers into depression. Bris brought a young druid with her to investigate the happening underneath Azatta’s temple. She introduced Ly’Sylra to Enzo and it was love at first sight. Deep under the desert as Ozy tried to reverse energy into the portals an earthquake struck knocking some elf into the water. Ly dove in after him, knowing that Ly wasn’t strong enough to help herself down there let alone the elf Bris dove after them feeling a sense of obligation to Ly for bringing her. Managing to bring them to the surface and back to the ledge Bris found everyone gone except Enzo. Ly was in bad shape so Bris immediately healed her and checked on the elf. Enzo ran to Ly’s side without a word of thanks or concern for Bris. This was the final straw for her. Brisbane full of anger at being abandoned by the group and then her friend not showing a bit of appreciation or concern Bris set out to live only for herself and seek revenge to those that hurt her. Bris left the temple only returning to aid Yashilla who had helped her many times before then set back out and began to formulate her list. Enzo realizing what he did eventually went to Bris to apologize but she wasn’t in the mind set to care. Every time she decided to listen to him he would take one step forward and two back. Their friendship all but dissolved completely. It was near this time that Bris caught wind that Luna and her nature group were planning to make a deal with the Satyr to get to the temple. Her hatred of Luna combined with her distaste for the position of the temple and its presence causing the placation of the defenders Bris decided to act against the Vahakar. Before doing so Bris warned Cole that his actions would be in vain and urged him to take a different route since she still held some regard for him. Then laid he plan into motion. Firstly she met with the Satyr trying to discredit the Vahakr. Bris told no lies and her honesty and seemingly endless flow of spirits won the favor of the Satyr who made her their honorary “Queen”. Not long after Bris met the shadow druids. Finding that their ways of protection fell in line with her new outlook she agreed to help them with a task. Finally at this point Bris had had enough of being second to everything in Plens life and ended the marriage on amiable terms. They sent Barrett to live and train with Legodia and parted ways still friends. Bris friendship with Ozymandias grew as she slowly admitted she loved him though trusting him a difficult feat. Knowing that his attentions divided between she and a devil at the very least, possibly more Bris decided that she would probably live the rest of her life as a single woman. Her friendship with Enzo patched with time and her relationship with her father mostly on track Bris decided that she was going to quit the Arcane alliance. She gave the rune stone back to one of the sisters and left a note on the door of the tower of her quitting. Her time with Ozy made her happy and she found a couple new friends. Hoping to find a happy balance between depression and over optimism Bris still identifies with the shadow druids, the bears and her family. Due to some encounters with the black wizards, Lia, and her already burning distaste for her mother and upbringing she has renounced her arcane teachings and presses to be the best possible druid she can.[/color][/size] Quests: Undeath Eternal-Found out the initial information about Kothac Lightbringer and continually fought the red fog. Was present for the stopping of the black sun. Dregar- Showed up for most installments of Rhizomes Dregar series both first and second incarnations. Soul of a Lost Ancient: Bris was on as many of these as work would permit me to. Was at more than listed but notable participation in: Times of Trouble- Where the Rune was acquired and the discord with Lia came to full bloom. Souls- where she forged a direct link to the soul Dragons- She carried a many of the dragon’s eggs out on her back. Was there for the convincing of Fisteron. Milara-Tokened repeatedly in the failed attempt to stop the ritual with the wolfswood spider. other-Managed to follows blood ships and discern there direction. Met with Milara face to face and somehow survived the bone dragon attack to be told by Milara she is weak with nature. Vortex- Still in progress. Gathered a good amount of info on Elanna. The eyes of Katia-Helped in the quest that put Plen in place as the bird lord. Enzo’s Epic-Was present for all installments.

reading up on lore and CD thread, forming ideas. I will talk to everyone involved about the scenario after I finish the reading and talk to Ice a good bit about anything I find that I am unclear on in her character thread, her goals etc. I will be talking with Ed and Leanthar once I get some basic concept of the ECDQ in my head.

Ice, we need some ideas/thoughts on what you are thinking about the epic path. We don't need plans or anything like that but we would like to see 5-6 ideas/thoughts please.

I've been waiting for You and Ed to have time to discusss the things we talked about needing clarification or further development before progressing any further. I have some more complete ideas along the original scenario I presented to you earlier, that I will be sending along to you and ED via e-mail. I've talked to Ice about her ideas of what she would like to do with Brisbane in the future and further into epic levels, But I need to know whats going to fly and what isn't before I get too far into the planning stages. I also need to know what avenues are going to be open for development, as I don't want to hinge an epic plot on something that either :

A) Doesn't make sense when viewed in a broader view of the main plot and Layonara in general

B) Doesn't allow for a reasonable chance of success for Brisbane to grow in the direction that Ice wants

c) Allow for a chance of meanigfull failure, (aside from the not being allowed epic levels) A failure of an epic CDQ, at least to me, should carry consequences on par with the reward, which also gets impacted by point A).

I know you're looking for idea from me as well. And I'll send them today.

From my side I need to know what an acceptable scope of events is, and what possibilities you and Ed approve of.

Since there seems to be some question about my ability to come up with ideas I will post here the ideas I have had for Bris. Some have already been turned down due to changes that have been and are being made in game but I will post them here just to show what my path was. All of these have already been discussed with Vyris.

1) Bris has always worked towards and affinity with the bears. She has always been a fervent protector of nature despite an adverse outlook being shed on her at times. I always saw Bris becoming the bear lord. Due to changes that may be being made this is not possibly but I would like to see her connection with bears acknowledged in some manner none the less.

2) Bris has worked on both sides of the fence to insure the safety of the lands. At times working with the shadier druids at times working with the "good" ones. Bris has found the shadier way more effective and would like to ascend through the ranks of the dark/shadow druids. This is already given to another long standing druid however and it was told to me that with the reworking of things and the fact that its already in place with someone else this would be a bad path to choose.

3) Bris has had a long standing hatred with the Black Wizards due to in game events. She has a deep seated need to at least set them back. They have caused her death, offered her foul propositions and messed with her mind in some manner while dead. She has had some issue with them for not allowing a certain rune to come to thier possession. She would like to see them outted from the great forest or at least farther from the great oak, she would be happy to hamper them in any way possible.

4) Bris has worked with the Satyr of Dregar to meet her ends and has been given the title "Queen of the Satyr". She would like to use the position to insure the safety of the Satyr and to work to towards a high Druid of Dregar status.

5) Bris aided in the return of the metallic dragons carrying many of the eggs out of the cave on her own back after one of the bearers of the amulet failed and fled. She often watches the skies for them and converses with the lands to see if she can check in on them. Bris would love a chance to see the baby metalics again and become a protector and liason to them.

6) Having been insulted to her face by Milara she holds a special personal vendetta to him and would do anything to see him suffer a weakening blow.


I understand that this is a difficult situation with Plen, Triba, and probably most notably Rhizome all being involved with nature in some way having made epic status before her. A lot of things that Bris has aided in has already have been laid claim to, however there are a lot of uniqueness's to her as well with her arcane aspects. The black wizard and Lia entanglement being most noted.

I am not sure why you think Bris has not been laying a path to Epic status throughout her career as she has been on every plot quest I didn't have to work during and has made steps through other quests to protect nature to the best of her abilities and insure the safety of the bear above all. I go on every quest I can in but with my work schedule there are not many available. Bris made efforts in the past to stop black wizards though eventually relenting to the sisters, she stood up to Milara when he insulted her to her face and followed bloods fleets through the waters when they set sail for attack trying to spread the word, she even made connection with the lost soul in the forest.

I hope something can be agreed upon. I work very hard for Layonara 90% of my time goes into the work I do here be it PR and Character Submission reading and quest outlining while I am at work or building creatures and areas for you while I am at home. I would hate to see things go down hill for me here after all the work and time I have invested over the course of more than the last year as a builder, a player, and a gm.
