Default Yashilla Menneseph

[yellow]Name: Yashilla Menneseph
Current age: 33
Current level: 20
XP to next level: 965,000

[green]"Original Submission"[/green]

Full Name: Yashilla Menneseph
Age: 18
Class: Cleric
Race: Human
Alignment: CG
Deity: Mist
Domains: Destruction, Strength

Bio: Hair, blonde; eyes, blue; fairskinned, as a female young and yearning to impress, I can not wait to carve my

name in the books as one of the great battle clerics of Mist. I am battle hungry and ready to go. However, do not let

my zeal for battle mislead you. I find myself strongest when singing praises to the clouds of thunderstorms. I see

the handiwork of my god every day, and everyday the wind blows or the rain falls, my god reminds me of her presence.

In fact, one day she even reached out and touched me in the form of a lightning bolt while I sang praises in her name

during a storm.

“Thank you great Mist, Lady Doom, for presenting yourself to me.”

[green]*End of origonal submission*[/green]

Yashilla's Tale

It has been about 15-20 years (1+ RL years by the time ECDQ is ran) since the start of her days as one of Mist's

clerics. Older and wiser Yashilla has taken to focusing herself on the path of her faith. However, Yashilla's tale

didn't start out this way. Young and eager to impress she strode off her fathers merchant vessel in search of

challenges and her Lady of the Sea. Some challenges were dealt with quickly and have since left her mind while

others remain as duties, tasks, and perhaps obligation still unfulfilled.

It was not long before she found her way to the temple in Leilon; her path down the priestesshood had begun quite

shortly after setting foot on land. In her early days Yashilla had often sought to bring the good of Mist's powers

to the lands of Layonara. Small tasks performed for locals and even ones involving larger parties became a staple of

Yashilla's day to day activities. She had of course aided the locals of Hlint; however, she had aided others as

well. One day she found herself amongst a group in the crypts of Hlint banishing some undead and an elven mummy that

had recently stirred. [red]("T" is for Trouble?)[/red] On another day she found herself amongst the lizards east of

Hlint trying to recover some sacred relic for Jasmine of the swamp. [red](Orn's Tear; I only made the 1st part of this

series)[/red]

Still, amidst all of these adventures, Yashilla still was intent on goal; to become a great warrior of

Mist. One day in the mountains of southern Mistone, Yashilla found herself and her clerical abilities at what seemed to be

an impressive level. She was capable of interferring with the path of the soul on it's way to the plane of the lost.

Oddly enough and a few days later her own mortality was quickly realized. The drow again had another plot put into

action for taking back the surface. Poisoned with some sort of soul venom, Yashilla's mortality and personal freedom

were now under less of her own control. Though these days did see one glimmer of hope, Yashilla had a her prayers

heard one day in the temple. Later, it would be revealed to Yashilla that not only had the soul venom been a means

through which her freedom was being lessened but she also had a patron, highly talented in the arts of hiding that

would be watching her and perhaps even aiding her for reasons initially unknown. It would be later revealed to her

in a trip to the underdark that Yashilla was gifted with light, something that dated all the way back to the

Tol'eflor. Still, in Yashilla's mind, gifted or not, her aim was at retriving her personal freedoms by any means

necessary. [red](This was the drow series ran by Pan and Storm. I had a few conflicts that left my heavier

involvment around the initial descent into the underdark in search for Az'atta's grove. After a few schecule

conflicts I got a bit behind and I hope I got these details right. If not, Pan and Storm, you have my sincere

apologies.)[/red]

As days passed and Yashilla's faith and battle prowess grew she found the winds of the storms guiding her to new

paths and new lands. It was on Dregar that she had found herself again involved in a long hunt that carried her all

over the land. A particularly powerful vampire named Desma had been raising trouble in northern Dregar. It was in

the end that Yashilla and the company she was amongst found out the deep and dark secrets of Desma's desires and her

home and family that used to exist in Hurm. [red](Vampires rise series)[/red]

Not long was it before her travels on Dregar eventually landed Yashilla in Firesteep, the land claimed by Fisterion

and home to the temple of Pyrtechon. Through time and relations with others, Yashilla had come to learn of the

perils of the lands of Layonara. She became reminded of Bloodstone and the need to unite and gather in defense of

the land. A dream long since packed into the back of her mind resurfaced; it was one that seemed more real to her

than any other, a dragon had claimed to summon her. Though clearly Fisterion was not this dragon, the ancient red

did seem to have other plans and needs with regards to getting ready for Sinthar's assault. Of particular note to

Yashilla was the red's interest in Carocsa. It became clearer and clearer as she traveled to the bay of Carocsa that

Yashilla's role in delivering Carocsa to the red would be quite different than the others who had volunteered their

efforts to the red. As the group struggeled to get to Shindeleria's temple, Yashilla couldn't help but think that

she had some how landed herself in a position that contradicted her aiding the others in the task of getting to

Carocsa. Perhaps a few very difficult descisions were put off as minions from the firey mountains came storming into

the temple to claim Carocsa as thier own. [red](Fisterion Series)[/red]

In short time, Yashilla found herself immersed in heavenly dealings. Visions swirled into clear images and at last a

challange worthy of her calling to the priestesshood had come. Or rather, was this a challenge to see if Yashilla

was worthy of the priestesshood? For reasons unknown to her, the fate of Carocsa come to Yashilla's hands. At one

level, Yashilla understood her obligations as a priestess of Lady Doom. Even the Tempest herself made an appearance

to discuss matters of such high importance. Afterall, the soon-to-be committed acts would impact the heavens as Mist

and Pyrtechon would likely take on a new level of relations. Still, on another level, the sight of Carocsa laying

prone with her life dwindling away seemed not as enticing of a prize as it may have seemed to Pyrtechon's loyal.

Executing the use of as much wisdom as she possibly could, Yashilla came to understand how she had gotten into this

position and what was needed to be done even if no one else could. Amidst the chaos of the circumstances Yashilla

had slain Carocsa. It was, in her heart, what Yashilla saw as her last benevolent act on behalf of mankind. She

doubted anyone one would ever see it as such. A specific few made attempts to stop her in the course of her actions

and at the end of it all many chose to see her with a simplistic view; the sum of her actions. How she was perceived

by others no longer mattered. From Yashilla's perspective, she had posessed a larger view and one few others chose

to accept. [red](Fate of Carocsa Series and a CDQ that coincided with this series)[/red]

With Yashilla's concern for mankind dwindling and her interest in the problems of the land waning, she has taken to

traveling about on her own. She has come to enjoy the niceties of such travels. Complete freedom to do as she

pleased and no need to regard any rules of engagement. As a result she has really isolated herself. She is often

coarse and short when interacting with others. This might have been best noted during the days she spent chasing

down the children of an avatar of Shadison, the Viper. During these travels across the lands of Layonara and through

various planes, Yashilla had little concern for the needs of the group. Her only concern was with how the rise of

this new deity would affect and potentially reshape the heavens. Again, Yashilla found herself involved in events

relating to the heavens. [red](Lost Spirits series)[/red]

[yellow]There has been about a score of impromptu and single session quests Yashilla has been involved with as well

involving anything from resource scavanging, to vampires, to dragons and to the current war with Sinthar

Bloodstone.[/yellow]

In addition to the tale of what she has done, the story of who Yashilla Menneseph is and who she has become is

something also noteworthy. Her story starts out with her setting foot on land. Young, new to her role as cleric,

and eager to impress, she set out to put the name of Mist out there for others to hear. She was delighted to be part

of an adventuring group and willing to help in anyway she can. She never shyed away from an opportunity to provide

services or use her granted powers. There was always great good to be brought by the untamed storm. The ability to

wipe a slate clean is something anyone could appreciate and the destructiveness of the storm could do exactly that

which appealed to Yashilla. As time progressed though, real appreciation for what she had done was shown less and

less it seemed. She began to become discontent with those around her and less eager to play a supportive and aiding

role. The desire to bring the power of the storms for the greater good had left her. Her granted strengths now were

used for whatever the situation demanded. She would not consider herself more good or more evil than what she has

been in the past, just more recourseful. Content and confident that the fury of the storms are with her, she sets

out to increase the bond between her and her mistress, Mist.

[yellow]Contents of the ECDQ[/yellow]

I'd like to see Yashilla's role in her faith challenged and perhaps as a result, her role in the clergy increased.

I've always had the hopes of one day having her obtain the title of "Tide" but I leave whether that is or is not

obtainable to the judgement of the team. I've also would be happy with her becoming more clear on what her role, as

a cleric of Mist, might be in the current stuggle's against Bloodstone.

There are several GM's out there who would be able to run the quest. Rhizome, Orth, IceDragonDuvessa, Pankoki, and

Stormspirit know my character best; though, Reventage, Dorganath, and Harlas would also be welcomed

Approved. Good luck. Request the ECDQ via the normal cdq/ecdq method in a GM thread. Keep in mind this is a long process and will most certainly be the thoughest thing your character has undergone so far to date.
