| Plenarius Ashaley Plenarius Ashaley
Level 19
560000 to Level 20.
Plenarius lived a simple life spending time with the birds in the High Forest and learning some of the healing ways from the local cleric whom had adopted him when his whole family died in a fire when Plenarius was very young. When he awoke to the Dragon Dream he felt a strong call to Katia for Nature above all else brought Plenarius peace, especially with his love for the flocks of birds whom welcomed him as a friend.
When Plen arrived in Hlint for the first time, he met Ameng Englen who enlisted his aid in mining copper and gifted him with a bow for his help. Ameng's welcoming nature made Plen feel very at ease and he quickly felt comfortable with his new surroundings and his new role in the fight against Blood.
After a couple of months of exciting adventure, countless exploration and continued faith to Katia, Plenarius soon found himself continually venturing with a certain group of friends. The Red Caps, deemed so due to all of our Adamantium Helms was a group of men, elves and dwarf who would rely on each of our unique abilities to conquer the most ferocious monsters and explore new and exciting areas. Rhizome, Enzo, Arenis, Duran, a little known mage named Elrond and Plenarius were a solid knit group of tacticians, leaders, comrades and best friends. They would welcome any to their explorations and taught many sound battle sense, knowing your role and simply how to have fun. Through their advanced grouping techniques they were able to explore even the deadliest places such as the Ruins of Oriax, The Ancient Dungeon, The Summit of the GreyPeaks, The Lost Dungeon, The Forsaken Temple of Corath, Fire Mountain, Arindor's Resting Place, the Underdark and many others. This bond of membership still holds firm to this day, with Elrond supposedly diminished to Voltrex, but a welcome addition of Thordan, the Red Caps will continue to unite when the call is needed.
When he wasn't spending time with the Red Caps, Plenarius would find himself endlessly exploring areas by himself. He had complete faith in the protection that Katia had afforded him and continued his vigil to Her to keep Her strength prevailing. He would often pronounce Her word to others and teach the respect that Nature and Balance deserve. He also began to take it upon himself to show the newcomers exciting areas to explore and formidable monsters to vanquish from the land. Many a time he'd see a group of anxious adventurers gathered around the Hlint pond and would round them up and take them to an area of excitement. Never being one for glory, Plenarius would only use his skills when they were necessitated and to keep his party safe and protected.
One of the most critical role he has played on the land was when Rhizome, Nire and Plenarius together aided in the salvation of the Lost Lady in the Broken Forest. Wisdom played it's role that day and all three combined their strengths in that area to answer the questions appropriately and save the sister and Nature. It was that day also that he actually heard the blessed words of Katia in his ears for the first time. A moment he shall never forget as he lay in vigil in the Sielwood. For he felt Her weakness, and he wishes never to hear Her so distant again.
Plenarius also stood witness to the final falling of the dwarf Gotak Gungur. He looked up to the ceiling of the place known as Death's Hole and called upon Her might to help return Gotak to life but it had failed. Gotak had given up the protection of the death ward for the other younger members of his party and the death magic of a Slaad had fallen him for the final time. As Plenarius stood over top of Gotak and tears trickled down his face he watched what he later learned was the Soul Mother take him away to his final resting place. One of the deepest regrets Plenarius had was that Gotak's longtime priestess friend Reventage D'vinn was not with the group that day. For he knew she would have protected him appropriately and maybe he would still walk our lands and not the Halls of Heroes.
Another major event in which Plenarius was involved with was the release of the scourge of Shadows upon the land. While seeking a vein of adamantium in the Ancient Dungeon, Kasha, Dargoth and Plenarius came across a great Ancient Counsellor who gave us an ultimatum to be released from his captivity or else to have his wrath of Shadows brought upon the land. The party rescinded his request that fateful day and the Shadows were released in those Roughlands, and soon across the whole continent, which brought a scourge of darkness across the land every time the sun would set.
It was also around this time that Plenarius was invited to sit on the High Council. This honour was a true testament to his faith in the Mother and it was equally impressive to be asked by his long time friend and confidante Kasha. Kasha and Plenarius had an odd relationship, for in his heart, something told Plenarius that her safety in this land was critical to the whole world's safety. So he would take it upon himself to do his best to protect her when Quintayne was busy with his temple work. This seemed to stir up unfounded gossip and rumour about the time they spent together, but it was simply a bond of friendship, akin to a brother and sister. Plenarius had a great respect for Quintayne and only wished to keep Kasha safe as she was once known to be very adventurous and would continually put her life at risk. Maybe for thrill, maybe to see how much danger he'd put himself in to keep her safe, or maybe because she knew the importance of keeping the foes at bay.
Plenarius also had his share of encounters with the not so savory persons of the land. With tongue in cheek, he'd afford respect to the likes of Eon and Milara. For knowing his powers were not within his abilities to send them to their peace, Plen was wise to listen to their chiding and make mental notes of the hints and slips they'd make as part of their game as he'd continually evaluate their plans for the land of Layonara.
After years of his role, his faith and his life evergliding through the rigors of time, Plenarius began to feel a little lost in the realm. Without a clearly defined place in the realm, he began to distant himself from his friends, only seeing to adventure or explore on the odd occasion. The final critical occasion was a trip to the Underdark. After seeking out a dragon, Plenarius stood vacantly at the back as others spoke, unsure of his role. After some information was learned, they began the trek up to the air when an ambush of rust monsters jumped out of nowhere. With a reactionary strike, Plenarius saw his cherished adamantium scimitar crumble into sulfate, and his frustration exploded, as he simply cast his Sanctuary and he ran off...
Plen stood in a field of heather with his best bear Tim by his side. He wasn't sure what to do anymore. He felt so strong in faith and yet he felt he had no respect, no leadership, no duty. He just wanted to turn back time and change his recent years, focussing on touching people closer and being the great man that he knew he could be. Already mastering the 9th circle of divine spells, Plenarius got the idea that he may be able to accomplish something that only the Shifter and maybe Nathan Birche had experienced. A reversal of time, resetting himself into a different time to relive properly and make some changes to decisions that he made. He studied a book of arcane that he had borrowed from the library in Kheldell and began to focus on the spell of Time Stop. He figured with his wisdom he would be able to culminate some raegants and words to cast a reversal. After a few eves past, he began his first experiment, which failed miserably with no reaction whatsoever, and then he went to sleep... He dreamt of a walk with someone else... a long arduous journey of serenity and peace.
When he awoke, the world about him looked differently, he had lost some of the divine aid Katia had bestowed upon him, and he felt as though he had been hibernating for weeks. His legs weak, his hair natted and soiled, he walked to the Krandor Inn and barely recognized any of the regulars. He bought a room and a bath and cleaned himself up and soon began to seek out his friends. His wisdom not lost, he set out up the Zainge to Fort Llast then east to Hlint... but everything looked so changed... he barely remembered the paths, or they had somehow changed. And then, the people! There were so many, so many unrecognizable... He finally came across some old faces and they acted as though he had been gone for an age...
Plenarius soon learned that something wrong happened when he tried to delve into the arcane, for nearly a decade had past since that fateful nigh in the field. He now had so much to catch up on, reacquaint himself with all the changes to the world... and ask his friends for forgiveness. Forgiveness came though, and he soon felt at home, with a renewed passion for the cherished gift of life. He swore a renewed allegiance to The Mother and his faith uplifted to an incredible level... After all the dreaming he had come home again...
Quickly Plenarius found himself an important player in some significant developments in the world's history. He helped Rhizome and Enzo cross the decidedly treacherous continent of Xantril to seek out the Great Oak. Which they came upon, but Plenarius was unable to witness due to the wards holding everyone back but his great druid friend. A definitively difficult fate for Plenarius to endure after so many decades of seeking it out. This event was all precursored with another witness of Eon, the great betrayer of the Mother.
Not soon after Plenarius found himself in front of Arenski Parellarn in the Great Lost Library where he vowed to help bring it to it's rightful place on the elven continent. Arenski shared great knowledge with a large group and much was learned those days. We would try to share what we knew with him and vice versa. Though many of us figured that he already knew the answers to many of the questions we had, and he was simply looking to evaluate our wisdom, our intelligence and our lore.
Somewhere between the trek across Xantril and the trip under the ocean to the Lost Library, Plenarius met Brisbane Woodmaiden. A radiant and initially fawning half elf, Plenarius was captured by her naivete and her ability to stir attention to a group of gentlemen. One particular night he asked her to help him return some undead to their peace in the Krandor Crypts. He stole her away from a hesitant group and made quick work of the crypt cleansing, all the while keeping her safe. After their adventure he took her to Lake Palden where they spent many nights by a fire, learning about each other and enjoying each other's company. Never being one to rush into anything, Plenarius took their relationship very slowly.
He had never had affection showered upon as she did. It was exhilirating and yet concerning. He would think to the other relationships he witnessed. Nawen and Enzo and Rhizome... Heidi and Arenis... Rhizome and Woman 2, Rhizome and Woman 3, etc...all seemed to divide friends, hurt them and Plenarius never understood why love seemed to be so enriching to others, for the hurt, pain, divide and even fear that seemed to go along with it was unending. Even Kasha and Quintayne's love... for Plenarius would witness how evil would use this love to their advantage. All this scared Plenarius into getting too serious and still does. He still has an inability to accept that without taking a risk in love, you'd never get the rewards. Yet he continues to get closer to his Druidess, their bond to Nature joining each other closer. Their concern for the Tol'eflor. Their continued fight for the Balance. His love is a slow pace, but he hopes she knows good things come to those who wait.
Through all his life, his adventure and his exploration, Plenarius has grown a continued passion for ridding the world of undead and the imbalance they bring to the world. Animating life is completely unnatural, and his fear is that one day they will roam all forests as they do the Broken Forest. Completely wiping out the animals, the forests and spreading their negative energy furthur across the green of the land. It is with this in mind that he wishes to take it upon himself to be Katia's Undead Slayer. For the beautiful Sun gives life and energy to the green of the land, he would use this domain to furthur vanquish the imbalance they bring to Her and Her beloved ally Aeridin. With this continued labour and championing of the cause for the Balance and Nature, Plenarius hopes to some day become Katia's Chosen. He is aware of the other blossoms and his no ill regard if they succeed to this position and will not make it a contest, for all he wishes is the best for Her. And Her choice would obviously be the correct one.

I would like to see Plenarius become an Undead Slayer, Katia's Chosen and the final vanquisher of Eon throughout his epic levels, if he manages to stay alive for all that. (Heh, not asking for too much, but you did ask what could happen)
For the ECDQ I think an appropriate story would be along the lines of freeing an undead scourge upon the Great Forest. Perhaps controlled by Eon. I would like to be able to have the Undead Slayer class taken at Level 20, so I have some of the abilities to write this story. If there needs to be a CDQ to that affect before the ECDQ then that is no problem.
As for a GM to perform this, I'm really not fussy, but I'd be thrilled if Leanthar, Seth, Hito or Pankoki (in no particular order) would take it upon them. I'd also choose Anansi and Hexadecimal but I would like Rhizome and Enzo to be with Plen throughout the quest. |
