| Completed World Leader Quests (WLDQ's) Congratulations!
Everyone in this forum has passed their World Leader Development Quest (WLDQ). Any character that passed the now phased out Epic Quest (ECDQ) is also listed here. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | Kobal Bluntaxe Character Name: Kobal Bluntaxe
Current Level: 20
EXP to Level to NEXT level: 1 million to level 21.
For an update on Kobal's biography, please read "Journal of Kobal Bluntaxe" in the character development section. My journal is updated every once in a while.
ECDQ: I have talked with Harg about it, and I think it would be natural for us to do our ECDQs together. We have been teamed up 80% of the time we have played on Layonara, so that would be the natural thing to do.
An idea could be something with the Grey Circle, a follow-up on Drezneb's ring (Kobal guarded the ring for a time, and he was told by a mage of the queen that he would now have gained enemies), a quest on faith to Rofirein (Kobal works to atone for the killing of many of monks and priest of Rofirein, who were guarding the chausible of Rofirein in the "Dark Angel series"), or maybe something related to the formation of an elite group of people, who are formed to battle Bloodstone's generals. That latter is something Kobal has given some thought lately. Kobal does in general keep up on events regarding the war against Bloodstone - the Grey Circle is of course one of the reasons for that.
DMs for the ECDQ: I think that Hargranar has asked Pankoki and Stormspirit. Another possibility would be EdTheKet. I have enjoyed his quests a great deal, but I don't know if he would run an ECDQ. | | |

| RE: Kobal Bluntaxe Well honestly I was waiting to hear back since the outline was drawn, but seems other work has taken precedence as per your email and the drafting was held. | | |

| RE: Kobal Bluntaxe *nods* Yeah other work did take a priority in this case... but it is not my fault (nor the players fault) that two of you are months behind... So lets not point the finger back at me. | | |

| RE: Kobal Bluntaxe This is really no one's fault. When I submitted my epic 6 months back I asked Ed to run it. I enjoyed his series, and Storm and Pan were busy at that time with Rev's if I remember correctly, so it was naturaly for me to ask him. Ed agreed, but had Rufus' ECDQ to run first. That one was moved and moved because they had trouble finding times where all participants were available, and then the new handbook came into play as well. In the end I spoke to Ed if it would not be better if I asked the dynamic duo instead since he was REALLY busy. I did that some time ago, but not more than 2-3 months I think, so they haven't had it on their table for that long really. And they have their drow series and other series...
In addition to that I did not really push buttons to get it run, because I had no idea that a max xp rule existed.
So its just a combination of misunderstandings, timezone trouble, and loads of work.

| RE: Kobal Bluntaxe What Harlas is saying is true, my ECDQ took a really long time to run. Nobody's fault, it's just that timezones in a combination with RL can be a lot of trouble. | | |

| RE: Kobal Bluntaxe CDQ has started and it is being ran at the discretion of Harlas and Storm's availability. Likely sessions will be on wednesdays until completed.

| RE: Kobal Bluntaxe [orange]The GM calendar reflects the status of this ECDQ as there are sessions still to be ran for it. If you want a number it is around a 70-80% done, though that is rough and dependant on Kobal's performance.
