| Letters Home Dad
I spend most of my time in Hlint and the surrounding area. I have been looking for someone to help me get into the Brothers of Battle. I asked around and everyone mentioned Garnet Stonesmythhy. I was wondering, you wouldn't know him by chance? Any way after about a week of looking I found him. He has helped me become and initiate of the Brothers. We even went on a couple of adventures together. It was like living those stories you told me about.
See you soon

| Letters Home Dad,
I met up with Garnet Stone Soul again today. He told me about him getting Vorax's Blessing. We went into the swamps and fought lizardmen. I'm still amazed at how quick he moves. I must train more to get to the level of ability where it looks that easy. Well I hope these letters are a bit if a break from the forge. Till next time.

| RE: Letters Home Dad,
I have been very busy lately. I have noticed that things are getting easier for me. I started to get a little over confident in my ablities so Garnet took me an a little trip. We took a boat from Leilon to Port Hampshire then to Point Harbour on Rilara. I was shocked at seeing my first giant. Man are they ever big. Garnet brought him down to size though. I guess I still have alot to learn. I must keep my excitement checked. I must be balanced in my approach to a fight. I just can not run in and expect Vorax to save my hide every time. I have learned to sneak in check out the enemy first and make a plan of attack from what I have seen. I have learned to work with others so that everyone can can be effective in battle. Even Magicians and those that use weapons from afar. They must not have confidence in there God that I have in Vorax. Well I guess if it weren't for those that need weapons you would be looking for another job. Well until next time I get a chance to write. See you soon
Beli
P.S. You know you can send me a letter back too. I would like to know how everyone is doing. Just send it to the Wild Surge Inn in Hlint. I'll pick it up from the owner there. I rent a room there often. | | |

| RE: Letters Home Dad,
Well I got your letter. I hope Semli and Ronus are alright. Mining is dangerous at the best of time but where they mine is even more so. I hope to make a trip home some time soon. It will depend on how things go with my training. I have moved to Leilon. I'm staying at the Leiolon Arms room 104. Send my mail there from now on. Not much new to say. I'm still working on my training and improving my skill at sewing. I'm glad you were able to finish all of that work that was left to do when I left. Well I guess that's it for now.

| RE: Letters Home Dad,
I have sent a helm home to you. I would like you to keep it for me. It was given to me as a gift and as you know the Brothers do not wear them. Let Semli or Ronus wear it while they mine. They can use all the help they can get. I'm finding some really stupid followers of Vorax. They do not understand how to retreat and regroup. They fight till they die, do not use terrain to there advantage. The list goes on and on. I'm glad I listened to your stories while growing up. They have helped me avoid the mistakes you made during your adventures. My mentor Garnet is helping improve my ablities. I have found a friend that I travel with when Garnet is on other business. He is a human named Sallaron. I know little about him but he is brave and smart. We work well together and have saved each others lives on countless occasions. I would like to tell him more about myself but that would include our secrets. So is it okay with you if I let him know. Write back soon
Beli Tenker Initiate to the Brothers of Battle
P.S. I also would like to tell Garnet as well. He knows a little about it but not everything.

It has been a while since I wrote you. Things have changed alot. I have been at the monistary for a few years now. I have been training young monks. I also have been learning how to speak elven. It seems that every where I go elven is spoken. So I have been it upon myself to learn. I have not seen my mentor since before coming to the monestary. I'm looking forward to the time that they let me travel and adventure again. Since the down fall of blood the monestary wants to spend more time in training monks. So they will be prepared for any future battles. Well I hope the mining goes well. Hope to see you soon

AHhhhhh! I hear that Hurm needs help. I want to help very much. I just can not get away from here right now. This is very frustrating. I have been learning the elven language. I can write it well, but to speak or understand the spoken word is a totally different thing. I think I will have to take some lessons from Demitri. I hope he has gotten that room for me at the Leilon arms that I asked for. I have asked to be able to leave earlier then schedualed. I was denied. Hurm is only a quick sail away from Leilon. I hope the sickness doesn't spread. Well I hope the business is doing well.

I never really told you this. I was at the fall of Pranzis. I know it was over 6 years ago. I was not allowed to speak of it until now. You should have seen it. I was part of the scouting team. They used me as a messanger since I can run so fast. I got knock out during the end of the battle. I awoke with the defender's flag draped over me. The flag has special powers that I use to this day. I have been showing the monks how I use it in battle. It makes for a great distraction to my enemies. I never hit anyone with it but they don't know that. The Brothers are thinking of having some special flag bearers during battle. It sure is neat to watch some unarmed flag bearers beat up armed warriors. When will they learn not to mess with the Brothers! I have to go. I have to teach some more students.
Love Beli

I got out of the monestary. Finally! So much has happened. I'm helping with the Dwarves in Bloody gate. They need to arm themselves. I think there will be a large battle there soon. The tensions are getting very high around that area. I hope we can help them in time. You remember me telling you about Sallaron. Well he started a Guild of explorers that go around and check out this world we call Layonara. I'm apart of that group when my duties allow me to be. We now have a guildhall in Dregar, 208 Castle Raxwell. You can send my letters there from now on. Or use a bird if you can afford it. I think the Bloodygate affair will take up most of mine time though. I will be a full Brother Very soon. I'm sure my next letter will be of that news. Well say hi to everyone for me.

| Re: Letters Home Dad,
I have pledged myself to Warlord Varka. To help Bloodygate in any way I can. He wants me to get a bunch of untreated oak and some woodworking tools. It looks like we are going to fortify the area and make Bloodygate look more Dwarven. I passed through there not too long ago, and it looks like a strong breeze could knock the walls down. I'm just finishing off some last bit of training for the monestary. It looks like I'll be very busy gathering eggs as well. It looks like no one has filled in the void I left while I was at the monestary. I have gathered orders for 14 boxes.
I'll stop by and see you soon.

I met with Warlord Varka today. He was in the Wild Surge inn. He remembered me from when I was at the Fall of Pranzis. I was so proud to have someone of his standing in the dwarven community remember me. We talked about Garnet as well. No one has seen him since Pranzis. I felt like I had missed something in my training. Varka helped me realise that it was all in my head. I have what it takes to be a great leader. I have the ability to do what ever I put my mind to. He told me to stop thinking about missing my mentor and start looking at the young monks. Those young monks are looking to me to help them. It was really good to have that chat with him. He is one dwarf I would follow to the ends of the earth.

| Re: Letters Home Dad,
Well have I ever been busy! I'm now more then just a Full Brother of Battle. I also am a Stonesoul. I also helped finish the rebuilding of Bloody Gate. Let me tell the story of my trip to the Temple.
I had Durgen Stormbrow and Grohin Silveraxe with me to head to the Temple. We found a broken Cart along the way. We headed onto Shoufal and found out that the last 3 Mining supply shipment have been stolen on route to Shoufal. So we decided to investigate. We found out that it was Duergar doing it. We tried to stop them but got taken knocked out and left for dead in a cave.
We woke up and healed ourselves. We Looked around to find out that we were sealed into the cave. Lucky for me that the others brought picks along with them. We hacked our way through the wall of fallen debris. Upon further exploration of the cave we were in we found an almost dead dwarf. We healed him and gave him some food and water. He told us of others that were trapped and enslaved by the duergar. Forced to mine for them. We went to see what we could do to free them. Upon a careful examination we found that the best choice was to attack. We failed and were captured.
While we were in the pens and the guards were gone for supper. I prayed to Vorax for help. He sent some heros to help. They broke the locks to our pens and freed us. We then went and slaughtered the the evil Duergar. After that I went to get the stranded dwarf. We got onto a boat that was nearand rowed our way to another cave. In that cave we found the mining supplies and a portal. We all jumped into the portal....The portal lead to the outside. Close to where the broken carts were found.
We brought the miners back to Shoufal and told them of our story. We got to feast with the king and I was then given my rank of Stonesoul and "Vorax Blessing". I then realised that I did not have much time to get the building supplies that I had gathered for Bloody Gate.
I traveled to Bloody Gate with my ox full of oak and bricks. I met alot of people and did alot of work. I helped repel a Giant attack. I got to meet with the new priest for the Shrine of Vorax. I learned about the crypts beneath Bloodygate.
All in all I have been very busy. Did not even mention about my trips with the Explorers. Not much to tell really. Well I hope things are going well. I have heard about Buddy being around Hlint lately. What is he doing? I hope he keeps himself out of trouble.

Well I met a Wemic today. It was the first time in almost ten years that I have met one. I had to calm so younger adventurers down. They were ready to kill him. I Started to try and communicate with him. It worked rather well. I helped him to understand a fair bit of common. In the end the Wemic (whom I found out that his name is Rizzer) and the young adventurers went off adventuring together. I'm glad I was there. I think I'll try and keep in touch with Rizzer and teach him some more common. If I can. Other then that not much else is new.

| Re: Letters Home Dad,
I met a strange fellow the other day. He calls himself Skull. I can see why since he wears a skull mask everywhere. I think he is a Drow. That is the only logical reason I can think of for him to wear a mask. He asked if I knew someone that could teach him the dwarven language. I said that I would teach him as long as he would teach me elven. So the deal was struck. We have started to teach each other a few things not much. We intend to have regular teaching/learning sessions.
Now I know you might think that I'm crazy to teach a drow dwarven. I have met alot of good drow lately. I will test him as I go along to see what kind of person he is. If I sense any evil in him I will stop the lessons right then and there. I hope things are going well at home.

| Re: Letters Home Dad,
I have been meeting with skull lately. We gave each other books that we had made that have words translated into each others language. We have have been learning alot about each others languages. I confronted him about him hiding behind a mask because he was drow. He took off his mask and showed that he was drow. He is not your typical drow. I have decided to continue our lessons.
On another note. I have been helping clear out some kobold trappers. They have been trapping people and causing alot of hastle. We have cleared them out of the red light goblin caves and the cave in the silk wood. I do believe that they are in the Haven mine as well. That is out next stop to clear them out.
I have also replied to Jennara's request for help. Not much to it so far we only need to find a stolen book. It was stolen by Drow..go figure. I'll keep ya posted on how that goes.
I also stopped and orc raiding party on the outskirts of Port Hampshire. I had a little help but I think the Orcs are getting braver due to the lack of food around.
I hope you got the cloak I sent home. It was crafted by a man named Johan. He made it for me after I got a bunch of animal skins for him. It should help protect from falling rocks in the mine. Ya never did tell me how that helmet is working for ya. I got it from a guard in Haven. She gave it to me after I helped restock their armoury at my own expense.
Well I'll write later
Beli

Dad
I met with Skull again for some more elven language lessons. I have been learning a lot from him. He is really trying get my trust. He told me his real name it is Xer'inith Dea'theran. We have been learning more then just languages we have been learning about each other's culture. I'm surprised at how interested I am in it. I have also told him about mother. I only told him the she was a magicer. Nothing more.
I have cleared out the haven mines of those evil kobold trappers. It looks like the Gnolls did a lot of the work for us.
I'll write soon
Beli
OOC note. The letter not sent because of Skulls real name. Beli thinks it should be kept a secret. The letter is held in his locked chest in the explorer's guild.

| Re: Letters Home Hey Dad,
I just got back from Lyn. They were being attacked by Giants. Myself and Grohin went to help as soon as we found out they needed it. We had to fight out way there. With the help from some of the guards. We fought off wave after wave of Storm giants. All the guards died in the final wave. Myself and Grohin almost did not make it, but with Vorax's help we prevailed. I was granted the rank of Stonewill. I'm still not sure what I did, that was so special to gain this new rank. I will not question the Brotherhood on this. I guess I'll need to meditate on this promotion. I'll be home soon and we can talk about this in more depth.

| Re: Letters Home Hey Dad,
I just got back from Bastil. It looks like a Dragon has now taken control of the whole Island. He has a rather large army of Giants to back him up as well. He has a person on the Island that collects tribute from him. I met the man..I just can not recall his name at the moment. I think I'll keep a diary from now on. I have things I would like to communicate with ya, but I can not due to me giving me word.
