Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

| That nosey "Goggles" person is up to something... People in certain areas have begun to notice a peculiar middle aged woman wearing a pair of Gnomish Goggles has been over heard talking about Dragons, most notable with two respectable individuals: Storold Doesscha and Knight Commander Jennara Creekskipper. Word on this quirky individual is that this seems to have all started in the Hamlet of Glenhaven, a quiet little town, where a similar individual was seen asking about the "local" adventurer Jonas Dragonheart. More recent rumors mention such silly ideas such as befriending Dragons, and the local taverns can be heard roaring with laughter at the idea of Protecting them... though people often are quieted at the rumors of what a Dragon would actually need protecting from. Other rumors mention something called an 'Earth Trapper' and a Dragonlink, which some less educated folks think is some new kind of sausage. One thing people can agree on, especially around Port Hempstead, is that this woman always seems serious about it. Others in Leringard, where this woman apparently lives and works as a 'bouncer' at the famous Leringard Arms Inn and Tavern (though some people mutter that she's really just hired muscle by the Taverns shady steward, known only as Steel) can attest to being thrown out the door by her when they insult her while Drunk. Most however won't admit to that, and she has been heard to say when confronted by an individuals family that "we don't tolerate irrate drunks in this tavern" before slamming the Inn's doors. It might be no wonder that Leringard's night life has seemingly been soberer then usual.

| Re: That nosey "Goggles" person is up to something... Rumors start spreading that "Goggles" has been seen in Spellgard, asking around the city for where she could get an audience with some of Lucinda's faithful. Some people hear her mentioning something about Dragonlinks again, saying Storold Doesscha sent her.
At the same token, Port Hempstead is grace with her presence as well, where she is seen at the Tower Academy asking to talk with the Governance, namely Elohanna, by the students.
Some people around Hlint though saying that she was seen knocking on the door of Moraken's tower, looking a bit nervous...
What is she up to... //In case it is not obvious, I am hoping for some DM feedback. I know this is somewhat vague, but that is how I would see Tyra acting at first. She isn't exactly planning on telling everyone what it is she really wants up front.

| Re: That nosey "Goggles" person is up to something... Over time more rumors seem to spill into the public ear, mostly due to overly curious halflings, that she has been heard around Spellgard asking to meet with the Dragonlinks about dragon magic, the dragon language, and how to protect a dragon. Some say she even mentioned a Green Cult, and something about a little Dragon. Some overly chatty clergy that have run into her mention she also had a little gold stone that she was asking, saying she heard they held the magic of Dragons. All in all most common folks seem to think this person is a bit too curious about Dragons, though no one seems to want to confront her about it.
In Hlint, another set of Rumors persist. People say "Goggles" was actually let in to Moraken's tower, and while no one heard any explosions, she looked a bit frazzled when she came back out. Others say she only got him to open the door, where she asked him similar questions as those the Spellgard rumors suggest. Another report says that she ran for her life after a few fireballs came out of the top of the tower at her, though given the common sightings of orcs in the area, such rumors of fireballing uninvited guests aren't that original.
No new rumors seem to come from Port Hempstead, but then again she has not been seen there recently.
//The little Dragon is called Earth Trapper, the stone is an Adepts Stone, and the Cult is the Green Dragon Cult. Hope this is getting clearer
And I'm not assuming Tyra actually talked to Moraken or anyone about anything, just playing the Rumor game.

| The Goggled One Persists A new bunch of Rumors come all the way from the Aragenites, though whether they originate from Alindor or Voltrex is uncertain. Seekers of knowledge, ranging from the young school boy to veteran scholars, murmur about an unmasked but goggled woman asking about three things: Unicorn Tear Flowers, echinacae, and someone called Narsa.
Rumors include her asking about old religions, and bugging a few of the caretakers of the religious texts where she could find information about old or dead gods.
Other rumors come from Fort Vehl and as far away as Western Gate, where the same woman is rumored to have asked Rofireinite historians about any old religions the Ancient Rofireinite's might have known about.
When asked, she mentions she's just curious about the old ways, but others say they've heard her mention some sort of alchemical purposes when behind closed doors. Again the rumors seem to link to something about protecting something, though the rumors say it could be anything from a family member to a Dragon. Given the other rumors associated with a goggled woman, most agree the Dragon is the most likely, though no one can seem to get a reason out of her as to why she's looking to protect something that could level cities at a whim.
Some people, especially on Mistone, have begun to wonder if she's not up to something sinister. It is still a common concern that the Kingdom's of Mistone are under threat by some sort of Army of Dragons, and only someone associated with that could possibly want to protect those scaley beasts...
