Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Default Pirates and Slavers

A report that filters back across the western nations.

*Battered and weary the ships and crew of three of the Red Bears inner Blood Circle captains limped into Hurm harbor the other day after a moderately successful campaign into the slaver islands south of Molten Island.

The Soulreaper and the Seareaver escorted the badly damaged Trueflight into the harbor where an interesting change in politics in the port city took place.

Savier Morgensen himself was on hand to greet the captains of the three massive fighting frigates belonging to the Red Bear. There was a long often heated discussion outside the office of the Docks overseer. In the end the Captains of the Soulreaper and the Seareaver angrily returned to their ships and before long were sailing out of the harbor. Savier had denied them permission to dock and repair in the port.

The Trueflight was granted permission to dock and the Famous Captain Liselle Arcanbow was last seen entering the Silver Swords compound with Saviar Morgensen.

Word on the street is that the Red Bear and Saviar have had a falling out. What does this mean for the future no one is really sure right now.

Those who disembarked from the two ships before they left tell of a harrowing ordeal into Slaver territory. They tell of pitched sea battles, slaver towns full of the roughest people from the world, slaves, slavers, evil duerger, lizardmen, beholders and finally the Slavemaster that they were held prisoner by....the name on everyones lips; Zithgarlock! The tiefling creature that is part lizardman, part human and part seemingly red dragon....a formidable foe indeed.

These escapees rescued as the Red Bears captains recaptured the Trueflight and they fled the evil clutches of the slavers tell of some of their comrades left behind. Their last visions of them fleeing into the jungle as hastily formed units of slavers swooped on their positions.
