Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Default Thanks to all on the 'letter delivery' quest last night.

Just thought I'd post a quick note to thank everyone who accompanied Kali and Dervish last night. It was a great party (even though we lost and gained a few!) and kept me on my PC until 2.30AM! ouch! I think layo sort of destroys sleep patterns....oh well!

Time to write it all in Kali's journal now...so much!

Thanks again all!

I definately have to second that! I dont think 5 minutes passed without me either being cracked up laughing infront of the screen at the folley's of the goat worshipping orc Rak(rolled a wis. check and got -1 lol ) or the maniacal chaotic singer/songwriter/drunkard Farros. And when not cracking up,had some intense RP sessions with Dervish' newly found "soulmate";o).And of course all the others that was present on/off,dont remember all your names, but all added to a great gaming experience.
THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks guys, I had a blast too. Some of my favorite parts were when we we assaulted by about 3 groups of trolls at once near the end. Pulled out all the stops that night, though everybody was dropping one by one. In the end it was down to Farros and Jay each with like 3hp, running only on bardic song power and halfling muscle against the last... oh say, 8 ravenous trolls. They all fell and we both practically collapsed in the marsh, exhausted from the legendary battle.

Then earlier I was helping two other lads find ragrian's necklace when I critical bluffed them that the tin ore deposit was actually a Demon Rock of Doom, impervious to all attacks save for a blessed pickaxe. The RP was both incredible and hilarious, use circling the rock and sizing it up, charging weapons drawn, then fleeing from it when it "bit us back" with dark energies. (actually more likely damage from our own weapons bouncing back and hitting ourselves in the head.)

Fun time all of you guys. I'll keep an eye out in town for any future insane quests. Honestly I had more fun last night from the party character symmestry and RP than from most quests or high xp runs.

Indeed, lots of fun running around with the group! And running around from the group as well, after Lucius got an amazing 1 vs the scarecrow fear :P

It was alot of fun, and some good roleplay as well. Looking forward to group with everyone again, if crashes and timezones allow me
