I was checking out the internet last night and came up on a solicitation of a business that promises to level your, (WOW game), character to level 60 ovenight, and promises you that only you and the company will know thats how you progressed! I'm 33 years old, and that has to be one of the dumbest things I've seen in the history of video games. The reason I have posted this to thank the players and creators of Layonara, for keeping this game such a fun place to play.....free of the above, where pvp and power gaming has become such a "task", that you even pay someone else to cheat for you!

Seriously though I've seen the same in other online games. Just look on Ebay under the game name and you'll be surprised what people will pay for.

why RP servers last so much longer and remain fun for years... because RP isn't a task... you dont have to be the best to have fun, and you can be any level, any race and still be able to put you little bit in on the major plots.

I think our thanks goes to all the dedicated RPers on all servers and all games.. people that make the game fun and keep it going.

lol my friend stoped playing Starwars and sold his high lvl jedi (cant remeber off hand what lvl it was)for $150 on ebay when I found out I fell out of my chir at the thought of someone paying that much money for one then 4 days later he got the check and it went through lol what a waste of money if you ask me. but hey it made him 150 dollers richer

heh, that 150 dollars likely evened out what he spent per month on the game... so I bet he had a net profit of zero or a loss.

Well during my 2 year break from Layo, ive been around the other scene. First with Daoc that I can strongly recommend as it have exellent pvp, iof not the best there is for any mmorpg outthere. And lately Wow, which I played from the Beta up until last janurary. And Ive seen it all, the grinding, the powergaming, the money you spend on it. Yes many people in my guild also bought gold so they could buy more stuff ingame. Theres a whole industry dedicated to this, where they have people in salary just grinding these money sao they can sell them to others. Its scary. Unfortunately it only took me 1years to get the best of the best in Wow, the legal way, and there is no endgame in WoW, just a endless stream of non-stop grind, or grind to get the next epic item. Im glad I finnaly was able to break loose from that prison, cause thats how it felt in the end. A game should never make you feel like that, and I cant say how glad I am to be able to come back to Layo and have people remember me. It just shows that this game focus more on the actually people than on the game. And im glad they dont know how to put that in game and sell it, cause its our little secret.

i played SWG for awhile and the reason i thought it was good was that if you did not liek your class you just changed it, but you have to re xp up all the skills again but they just changed it to much and i stopped playing it, but i do agree RP servers last longer

There are more and more mmorpgs these days and I hope they die out or something. The entire idea of pay for each month even after you buy the game is disgusting to me, not to mention all the other businesses that have grown around it.

Thank god there is Layonara!

It shouldn't be that different at all on a player's economics. Its the scale (layo is small, therefore beautiful) and the heart that is different.
