Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. okay... there are rules and stuff, one is something like not giving out locations on the fourms. So when someone tells you to ask IG its not becosue there mean, its becosue there are rules and guidlines for this. If you dont know IC then you dont know IC... congragulations.. you now know OOC... but you still dont know IC.

It depends whether such a thing can be consider "general knowledge".

I don't know where the tavern is, so Daeron doesn't know.

You should consider this.

If the Freelancer's start a tavern, they'd make sure everyone knows the location. By posting flyers for example. I mean Xiao could be the fastest poster in Layonara with his monkspeed. Spreading flyers through the world.

Problem is there are things you as a person don't know that the character should but due to the nature of the gameworld it just doesn't happen.

Unless you've been living in the forest, or completely in hiding, you wouldn't have missed the posters advertising the Freelancer's Tavern, their Grand Opening and where it is.

It's all over the inns and around towns.

The only reason I posted the question is because I could have sworn the location was posted under the Freelancer's first heading, (which also included a very good item list of what was for sale).When I checked back on this having forgot the location, I noticed the location and item "for sale" listings were gone.The only reason I aked OOC, was because I thought that it was posted "in-game", on a flier, which my character could have read.Sorry for the confusion.
