| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | GM Help (If anyone has a moment) So, I'm down in the Underdark looking for a drow city, which of course I haven't been to in many many months, so I'm totally lost. I cast Greater-Sanctuary (and no, I wasn't invisible at the time, nor was I before I cast it) and start looking around... but lo and behold I crash. So, I come back and run to a safe area. For some reason it won't let me dispell my G-Sanc or cast spells so I shrug and continue. I pass several Duegar and none see me but when I seesomespiders (spiders whose thorax I can whoop), they see me and start to attack. Now, I freak out and try everything I could think of to dispel the G-Sanc, cast spells, use items... nothing's working so I figure I'd log off while I'm still alive and as for help (as I'm level 20 and having a SS cut is a big possibility.)
Would this warrant GM assistance or am I as good as dead. If the former just let me know when you'll be logging on and we'll get this worked out, if the latter, just pray for me.

| Re: GM Help (If anyone has a moment) Only 3 ways to break out from greater sanctuary:
1. Attack something.
2. Use dispell rune/sanc return rune.
3. Let it expire.
I would really, really like this to be changed to as all invisibility spells. I.e. casting breaks you off it automaticly.

| Re: GM Help (If anyone has a moment) Yes, I'm aware of all three of them. Option number three is not an option because as soon as I log in I'll be attacked. Option number one is not an option because attacking does nothing to dispel it at this time (I believe it's because I crashed with G-Sanc active). And option number two has not worked both times I've tried, spells still fizzle. Also, as the creatures are static and not spawned, there should be no fear that I will escape unscathed except by GM intervention.
