Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Default Request

Being the type of player, who doesn't just settle for any old portrait, but one that takes hours and hours to find, I find myself unable to find one of my characters portraits.
My request is this:
If anyone ingame comes across my character Nyyana, and you are able to see her portrait (not the no portrait image) can you send me a tell or pm and post the portrait in the 'Custom Portrait' folder please.
Suffering from a full system wipe before returning to Layonara, I lost her portrait, and considering it took me 3 days to find that portrait in the first place (ask Moley1000 or Philosopher) it would be most appreciated. Until then, I'll continue my search.
Thanks

Okay, I managed to find the portrait, (turns out I had it on my removable hard drive the whole time) but I can't work out how to share it on the forums. I attempted to upload them to the album but due to them being .tga file types they aren't showing up. Can someone give me some tips on how to get some working links onto the custom portrait folder?

Thanks

sorry, I must have not made sense.
I know where to put the custom portrait, its just working out how to upload the image so that it is downloadable and not linking to my hardrive. (which is pointless)
...Get what I mean? I downloaded the image itself off of the internet quite awhile ago, and now its near impossible to find, since i've been searching for weeks and still haven't found it.
I thought that I could upload the images into my portrait folder or something, but that did't work due to them being .tga files types.
I've noticed that people have attached their images into the post itself, but i've been unable to work out how to do this exactly and was hoping someone could tell me how to upload it and make it available to download.
If attaching to the forum post itself isn't possible, I may need to find somewhere to host it so it can be downloaded...
If I don't make sense just say.
Thanks

You can attach files less than 200kb to your posts. In the general discussions section there is a thread on portraits (he one Olme pointed you too) . Attach the S,M and T .tga files to your post there. The H (or Huge) file is generally too big to post unless you use a photo program to convert it to a jpg file.

How to attach them?

> Hit Reply
> Bottom of the page a box :Attach a file after posting: Check this . If this does not show up you may have to edit your preferences to have the rich editor not the basic one
> In the next screen browse to where the picts are on your PC, upload
> Done

It is quite possible to attach the files directly to your post.
Click on the buttons REPLY in the top right corner of any post.

Then below the text box there is three check boxes for settings and one that says "Attach a file after posting", check it and you should roll.

Well what Minerva says. *grins* beat me to it
