| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | Summons I was just wondering what the summons would be for a Chaotic Good Character. If someone could tell me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

| RE: Summons It depends.
If the character is a cleric, the summons is based on the deity.
If the character is a mage/sorcerer/bard, the summons is based on the alignment (unless the Censer of Arcane Devotion has been used by the PC).
So, for a CG wizard/sorcerer/bard who has NOT used the Censer of Arcane Devotion, the summons would be those listed under Toran (see here)

| Re: Summons And I will be the first to say that they're pretty nice summons for the lone mage.
Still, I'm curious as to what a CN caster's summons would fall under.

| Re: Summons if your a wizard and you get golems and books for summons DON'T get 7th summon, the iron golem is horrid beyond any thing mortal.. only good thing it has is high crit, seen it once top out at 75 yet its ungodly weak, Stick with the stone with is slight damage soak and slow bolts till ya can get the shield then things get intresting

| Re: Summons What I want to know, is why my CG goddess Az'atta, provides me with LG celetial summons? I look at my greater hound archon. I like him. He doesn't do so good against gainsts, but will bash down any undead I put him against, as he is a 12 HD Outsider / 4 HD Paladin worshiper of Az'atta. Who was smoking the exptional plains weed, when they alocated LG summons to my CG goddess?
I better not push this issue too much though. I realy like my summonses.

| Acctually lucinda summons a shield golem at 7 or 8 while aragen and goran summon a helmed horror
