| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. | Re: Need help in Forest of Mist! I was traveling with her...we both died, both went into the death void...both respawned. When we got there, MY stone was there, but hers was not..."there" being back to where we fell, of course

| Re: Need help in Forest of Mist! Never mind guys...it's late, and she's opted to sleep it off. Turning in myself, but I'm worried this will cause future problems...should I be?
Thanks!

| Re: Need help in Forest of Mist! Yes as Creighton said we both died, right at about the same place in the forest. Both of us were bound in Hlint. We portaled back to Pranzis walked back and his gravestone was there and mine was not. I and another character searched everywhere while invisible. We waited for along time, even had some good RP with passers by as we waited. I just want to make sure this doesnt have any effects on my character, as I only had one death, but could not retrieve the stone and had to log still a ghost, but with no stone on the world.
Thanks,

| Re: Need help in Forest of Mist! If central hasn't been reset, I saw Tyrian's gravestone in the topaz/coal cave in the Anuroch Desert last night.
If she recovered from a previous death on another server, that is where she will need to return to recover her grave vice where she recently fell in the forest of mists. Hope that helps!

| Re: Need help in Forest of Mist! I did sleep a death off like two nights ago, heck maybe even last night. Why would that effect my game now? Some sort of game mechanics that I don't understand?

| Re: Need help in Forest of Mist! Sometimes the grave transfer doesn't occur and disappear across servers... so if you died in the topaz cave, slept off your death in Hlint, then rested to recover on West.. infrequently the grave will not clear on central. So when you died on central the next time, it saw your old grave and did not create a new one.
To avoid this rare occurance, it is best to just recover on whatever server your grave is on.. just in case. If you have already recovered from your forest of mist death, I believe the grave in the desert will clear the next time the central server is reset.
Happens to me all the time. =)

| RE: Need help in Forest of Mist! What osXmallard said is essentially correct.
If you already have an unrecovered gravestone somewhere, you'll not get another one on subsequent deaths. Recovery from death, whether from waiting 10 hours out-of-game or however much time in-game will not always remove your existing grave stone, especially if it's on another server.
While you did not die any other time that night, you still had one from 2 or 3 nights prior, and since Central had not been reset in that time, the grave persisted.
In other words: You're fine. | | |

| RE: Need help in Forest of Mist! Ok thanks for the help... I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a reoccuring thing.
