Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Default Overlord, it's like Dungeon keeper meets pikmin.

Just wanted to post shamelessly about my love of the new game called Overlord.

It's a tongue in cheek evil game that will remind many of Dungeon Keeper mixed with evil Pikmin. Doesn't quite fill the missing void of DK3, but certainly reminds me of the old days of slapping imps for fun. Although, now those imps are replaced by goblinish gremlins with funny dialogues, who gleefully jump into a giant smelting pot to help craft better items for yourself. Then again, shouldn't minions gleefully do anything for their evil overlord?

Perhaps evil lemmings may have been a good analogy . . .

All the same, I highly reccomend anyone with a 360 or WinBox to go check it out.

I have heard some pretty neat things about this game. I will likely purchase it as well. It would be fun to play the evil guy in a game that truely supports (and requires) one to be evil.

L, that's the great part. You (well not you specifically, but you as the player *wink wink*) can choose to play as the evil overlord, smashing and pillaging everything and making all witnesses "dissappear" for some strange reason - or - you can go the goody route and help the sick people, kiss babies, and pet the puppies. At least until your bored and set everything on fire

I've had a lot of laugh out loud moments playing so far. And watching the antics of the Minions has yet to get old. If you really want a laugh, send all your minions into the bar, then watch them 'water' the lawn.

Yeah, it looks fun for sure. Dungeon Keeper was cool in its own way, this looks like it will be better on many levels.

Blasphemy! Nothing can be greater than dungeon keeper. Well, maybe Dungeon Keeper II. And nothing can be greater than Dungeon Keeper II! Well, maybe Dungeon Keeper III! But nothing can be greater than Dungeon Keeper III! Well . . . You get the idea

Having played this far, I can say that Dungeon Keeper: Overlord, is very very entertaining. Now to find my minions some more beer.

I just picked up a copy. The graphics, voice acting and gameplay remind me very much of Fable... it has that lush, idyllic villaige feel to it that makes you gasp and look around at the scenery. The humor of this game is just great, these little slavering minions you lord over are rbloody classic. Essentially you walk around in your Black Platemail and axe, chopping down villaigers and hobbits, instilling fear into all and sicking your troops on them. The game is more maze-exploring & puzzle based than Fable was, and while the combat is not quite as fluent, the environmental interaction with your little horde of minions makes up for it. It's definitely worth buying if you enjoyed Fable and the most recent Bard's Tale game... it has that cheeky sense of humor and similar feel to it. A pretty decent and wild ride. Not a single cutscene has passed by without me shooting beer through my nose laughing.

"...Not a single cutscene has passed by without me shooting beer through my nose laughing...."

That right there means the game rates very well! *smiles*

Just beat it on the order of two minutes ago doing the "good" campaign.

Now, it's time for some proper evil

I have it too and have a blast with it... I got my first real laugh out of the game when I had them destroy the pumpkin patch then see them running back to me with pumpkins on thier heads as helmits

I'm currently at the blue minion lair...Probably one of the best single player games I have -ever- played. It's very in-depth, funny, and you can bash what feels like everything!

I'm so evil. I like to oppress towns
