| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | A shout out to those who attended the first Dread Blade meeting. Thanks to all you who showed up, and I hope you had a good time. I had all kinds of fun. Sorry I had to run suddenly, but Hannah started screaming, as babies will do when they decide it time to eat now.
For those of you who want a PM sent with the Axioms, PM me first and I'll reply. Keep checking the player calendar. Next Monday the Dread Blades will meet again for seminar on combat roles as defined by none other than Cole Norseman himself and presented by the Norseman's apprentice, Steel.
Also, we'll be taking the seminars out into the open, to test strategies and implement the methods presented in the seminars. I pity the poor creatures that stand in the wake of the Dread Blades.
The seminars are still and always will be open to anyone. Thanks again!

| Re: A shout out to those who attended the first Dread Blade meeting. Alrighty, as more people have taken an interest in this, I'd like to double check on times.
I normally slate this for late Monday evenings, CDT. However, Some have asked that I run this event on Sundays, or even Tuesdays. Heck, I could do Wednesdays, too.
So, for those that want to make it to a bunch of these short sessions, respond to this thread and let's see if we can't come up with a time that works for the general populace. Keep in mind it needs to be sometime during the first part of the week, and no earlier than 9pm CDT, except on Sundays, in which case I can also run the event sometime between 11am and 3pm CDT.
See you in-game!
P.S. - to those who smacked each other around in the arena this last time, rock on! and sorry I had to leave so suddenly, but my child has interesting notions of what acceptable decibal levels are in apartment complexes, and my wife was trying to study for a history final, leaving me to discover the source of my daughter's irritation.

| Re: A shout out to those who attended the first Dread Blade meeting. Monday's at the current time, and Tuesdays at 10:30 CDT seems to work well for me. I've other things going on Sunday's and can't promise Lal would be there (Ditto for anything earlier than 10 on Mon or Tues)

| Re: A shout out to those who attended the first Dread Blade meeting. The current time works very well for me, practically any day of the week. 10:00 pm CDT is the earliest I could attend. Even though the session was short I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to the next installment. Thanks a bunch for going to the trouble to set these up!

The current time is as good as any for me.

| Re: A shout out to those who attended the first Dread Blade meeting. Well, huh. I guess we'll keep it on Monday for now. However, I bumped it to a slightly later time (11pm CDT), in hopes that I can convince Hannah to sleep before we start.

| Re: A shout out to those who attended the first Dread Blade meeting. hey guys! Thanks to the Witch Doctor for adding some drama to our little outing. A few new faces last night, things got a little cazy, almost a little crowded, but it was fun!
As a note, Steel will likely be contacting some of you who've been involved several times to see about having "guest speakers" for various seminars.
The next seminar will be at the same time as yesterday: 11pm CDT next Monday. If we're lucky, I might even have a few surprises prepared in advance to make the bashiness really interesting and at least a bit more challenging for a few of you.
The Arena's a big place, and I aim to fully utilize it before this whole series is said and done.
