| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | A Trip for Emerald's ** This can be found in several crafthalls, and on the walls of Berylite Temples and some notorious taverns ** I'am in need of an Emerald....
Just the one. I ain't greedy.
But... Simply "buying" this gem will not do... I need to get the bloody thing myself.
So... I'm looking for some tough, reliable bugger's to get me the hell to the bottom of either the Deep or the Emerald Skull caves... and back out again... alive preferably.
Reckon you could help pull it off?
See me then
Sallaron Tempest
// This is aimed at Saturday 7pm GMT... if you can make it... post. Depending on who and numbers is if it gets a go ahead
// As per DMOE's Loot Policy.... All Loot shared equally... I'm claiming one Emerald for myself... the rest is shared and/or rolled for equally according to the Loot policy

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's As Lord Cove has stated that apart from Sall taking one emerald all loot will be divided as per the Looting Policy I suggest everyone remind themselves of what the policy actually is..... http://forums.layonara.com/roleplayi...ng-policy.html
Main points are.... Do not roll for an emerald or any other loot unless you actually have a personal NEED for it.
Those who do not get an emerald get first choice of the rest of the loot, rolling amongst themselves if necessary. If you run ahead and leave the looters behind you will be assumed to be forfeiting your right to any loot and CNR | | |

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's * Sall staggers home and collapses on the spare living room bed, cursing and grumbling. He edges the torn and shredded coat of his off his back, and winces at the various char marks over his chest and back, which have burnt holes right through his coat.
He curls into a ball of misery atop the sheets... and before he falls into an exhausted sleep... he mutters.....*
Bloody typical

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's I say we try this again, some other time, in the Deep.
Probably easier.

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's Most likely easier there, yes. Sorry for even suggesting the other place.
Karma worked out pretty well though, since the suggestion maker got the Soul Strand loss *grins*.

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's The Deep being "easier." Wow.
And again, sorry about that SS loss. But to be honest, I'm glad it wasn't me.
Earn XP and get that SMD feat, old man!

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's Heh, we took on an indestructible golem of doom a few months (and levels) back. Took near-on fifteen minutes, realtime, to kill it, and the only casualty was myself.
We also took on the immortal leader of the minotaurs. Did over seven thousand damage to it before a DM came on and untoggled immortality. Several casualties, myself not among them. Took about fifteen minutes for that one, too.
Squids go squick. They have soft bits, and have trouble eating brains that are protected by helms and Mind Blank.

| Re: A Trip for Emerald's Potato, potatoe, Stephen.
The Deep is not easier though, just allows more options than DMZ.
