| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Oh, I know how bad the flu can be. Got hit with a mild case that I threw off a few weeks ago. A few months before that, I was completely off my feet (and even my computer!) for a week or so.

They definitely look better in the bowl you eat from, rather than the one you flush....

| Re: Flu Sucks... Fruity Pebbles are not good sick foods period! (Some might argue they aren't even good food ...)
As someone with too many opinionated relatives in healthcare or medicine of some kind, I've been told precisely what to eat when you have the flu on more than one occasion, so let me share my wisdom:
I recommend fluids and nice soups if you're pretty nauseous still. Water, juice, tea (but not coffee), that sort of thing. Chicken noodle soup is the classic, but anything with lots of broth that doesn't offend your already delicate stomach further is good. Gelatin or jello is also good sometimes.
As you start to feel better, add foods back gradually. My Nana (grandmother) still swears by something called the B.R.A.T. diet (banana, rice, apple, toast) when you're recovering from the flu and still feeling a bit sensitive, but I think the idea is fairly bland, non-acidic foods. Nothing spicy or anything like that!
Anyway, good luck, and here's hoping you feel better soon. | | |

| Re: Flu Sucks... I and my roommates are doing fine, but our litte hellcat Squeaker seems to have caught a case of feline flu. She lost her voice recently, but otherwise seems uninjured, so we think she might have kitty leringitis. Her meows are getting better again, but a few days ago she sounded all high pitched like a kitten again, but all raspy. I've had her on a steady regiment of a bowl of tuna juice every couple hours, (kitten chicken soup) and she seems to be getting better.
I figure it was either the flu or she tried to swallow some bug that stung her on the way down. She doesn't seem in pain, or reluctant to try to meow, so she seems to be on the road to recovery.
