| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | huzzahs for ouroboros and rowana! The Johan quest was great! They deserve big thanks for that fun. In party fighting, action adventure, questions of right and wrong.
It was quite grand...
And yes...one day grenna will stomp the big scary black snake!

| Re: huzzahs for ouroboros and rowana! this was great fun! I really got to give full vent to Cam's CN. The racial tensions ran super high as did class positions. So a great big thanks to DS and Row. Also big giant kudos to khuren!
Ps i I only wish DS had ported us back tp mariners a tiny bit sooner. So Cam would not have lost a SS on a dumb tired fight

| Re: huzzahs for ouroboros and rowana! Haha, I really wish I could have made this quest, but I was passed out when it started. I got to watch over Pooser's shoulder a couple of times and it looked like a blast. I especially liked how Johan was depicted as the withered old geezer after all these years, hunched over and ready to collapse.

| Re: huzzahs for ouroboros and rowana! Glad you all enjoyed it. And Row is downplaying her part - were it not for her, a) I wouldn't have been able to have dinner, and thus would've been grumpier throughout the quest, and b) things couldn't have been as prepared as they were, since no one would be there to ride herd on you guys!
And while I am sorry about the SS loss, Jrizz, my original plan was to let you guys trek it all the way back to Mariner's. The 'port was because I was falling asleep at the keyboard.

| Re: huzzahs for ouroboros and rowana! The one thing I hate about NWN is that it's usually impossible to stop an action that's in-progress. I.e. if a player doesn't let other players know what's happening, so they could respond as their characters would love to, or let the DM know, so they can say something... *Shrugs.* An advantage of PnP.

| Re: huzzahs for ouroboros and rowana! Yes, many thanks to Darkstorme and Rowana.
I enjoyed myself immensely (I probably would have even enjoyed it a bit more if I hadn't been falling asleep...)
But a very imaginative quest, allowing party dynamics to move to the forefront.
