| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | The ECL in other modules Does someone out there know how to get the ECl System into a module and ONLY the ECL? I have a friend who wants to play a drow in single player modules with ECL +2 .. He modifies the character in LETO so he just need the ECL.. Does someone know how to to do this? If you know can you post a link to the hak-pak or what is needed?

| RE: The ECL in other modules I know how to get a hak into the sp modules though it takes some time...I would like to ask if the layo haks would work in the sp mod's though you know for the customised effects, summons and other changes you've made. I don't want to go through all that again if they won't work

| RE: The ECL in other modules Ok guys I need yours opinion.. My buddy here wants to play a Drow fair, but it's a bit hard havin +2 dex int and cha + all the goodies without the ECL..
What do you think he should remove to make the drow character with ECL 0? (or the normal exp scale).. I am thinking to remove the spell like abilities and the spell resist.. and remove the +2 will saves against spells.. Tell me what you think..

| RE: The ECL in other modules  I'd say that if you HAD to take out something, take out the SR. However, I'd suggest bumping up the Daylight weakness thingie. Make it -6 To attacks and -4 to Saves. And blind forÂ6 rounds. Also I'd say dropping off the Charisma bonous might not be a bad thing because how many people are really going to feel compelled to follow a drow, or look at them as anything but vile and evil monsters?

what did you exactly mean by that? :P
Ok I understand now.. But is it possible to get the light sensitivity in the character without using scripting?

| RE: The ECL in other modules I am reading in the Forgotten realms campaign setting here (the drow char is going to be in FR) and it says that the light sensitivity is only -1 to attack rolls, saves and blinded.. Isn't -6 a bit much? well nevermind, thanks for the help anyways :-) I think I'll remove the CHA bonus, the SR, spell like abilities and the will save..that is a fair don't you think? | | |

| RE: The ECL in other modules  Honestly, yeah -6 is waaay much. However I always found when reading books about drow, that it was the SR and their magical aptitude (+2 saves, +2 int an all that) that made them really deadly and very interesting. If you're not going to place an ELC on em, I'd remove everything but the SR and Intelligence. But that's just me. ZV-
Oh yeah, I posted a link to the NWN Vault around a week ago. Think it's in the World Suggestions/Comments/Ideas section. Has subrace skins for pretty much every subrace there is, and it's pretty close to what Layo has with ELCs and everything.
Edit: Here it is. http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums...posts=3#M74945

| RE: The ECL in other modules Well, the OC is so easy, you'd have to give yourself a -2 to everything to have it be challenging. And even then it might not be tough :P | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
