Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. |  Sad day...
I woke up this morning to find my computer off, which is unusual since I do not turn it off.
Apparently we had a power failure last night. Well....when I turned her on and after she booted, I was having severe graphics problems..
Well, after some intensive troubleshooting, I have narrowed the issue to a couple of areas, the first and primary is I think my video card is kaput. The fan on the GPU siezed and is not functioning so I believe it over heated the chip and is causing my issues. If that isn't the case then the power issue zapped my mobo. Lets hope it is the video card.
Anyway, I won't have the extra money to get a new one for at least a month, potentially more. So I won't be playing NWN for that time period. *cries*
I have a laptop, but unfortunately it is only 64MB shared memory on board graphics, which basically means, for a graphic intensive game like NWN...well...severe lag. Ug.
I will however still frequent the forums and keep up with what is going on.
Luna will miss all her new found friends, but she WILL be back.
And just when she was getting good at crafting...dang..lol

Ran with the same video card in my box for a long time till I got my 256M one.
Runs NWN just fine, though you might have to turn down a couple settings.

Amazingly enough, when I turned my computer on today, it worked!
I have no idea why it did what it was doing or how it is working now, but it is! Yippee!
So Thanks again for the offer, but I do not think I shall need your card now. Perhaps someone else in need will.
