Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Default How would I go about...

How would I go about making my character look like he walks with a walking stick.
A staff wouldn't really work as its always rested on the shoulder.
Are their any items or RPing items that I can get my hands on that will give the look of him walking with a walking stick? or should I just RP it without a walking stick and pretend he's got one?

I have a begger and ive been trying to see how i can get hime with only one leg and a cruch
The only see a way I can see is to biuld the CG model Maya or Max and put it throw the NWN tools then ask one of the grate layonara
coders to put it in to the world hak files which I think is a non starter just for one PC so
its Rp all the way down.

What I would love to do is Cyber scan my self in costuem make a 3d model, IK it with the NWN walk cycales and put it in the world.
Im looking into that one. He he he

if his got a wooden leg you can use the customisation tool in the crafting hall and on the leg section you can give him a pirate like peg-leg.

I have never seen it on Neverwinter nights, I am not sure there is even a model for such a thing. You could try atrawl round the web, see if there is anything about in the community.

yes get yourself a gem crafting tool and then customise it in the crafthouse. It works well but you'll need to experiment a bit

You need a gem crafting tool because thats the only one with models which don't rest on the shoulder and you customise it like anything thing else; clothes weapons shields etc.

I can't work out what I should be doing. What i've tried so far is : I got a gem crafters tool, and a plain wooden staff. I've looked at the customization tables and they don't change it that i can see anyways. I've also tried placing it on the gem crafting tables but you need a knife and not a gem crafters tool's. Where am I going wrong?

heh you won't be using a staff you'll be using the customisation tool instead. Go the weapon/armour customisation stations and use them to customise the gem crafting tool as you would a regular weapon.
