| General Discussion If you have anything off topic to say or you are unsure where to post, this is the place to do so. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Registration is fast, simple and absolutely free. So please. join our community today!

#1 | | | Aho (Means Hello) Aho All
I am Eagleman aka Izzy Smuda and I just wanted to say Hello and introduce myself to the group. I am a Disabled Nam Vet and a Blackfoot Native American. I love gamming and have been playing D&D since it was just a wee baby. I have only played NWN on-line at one other place and from what I see so far this one will blow it away. Part of my disability is my hands are getting numb so I do not type well or very fast so if I seem slow in the game or not to chatty while we are on the move it is for that reason only. However I havve tried to write that in my character.
I am with my brother working on my own or I should say our own world it is called The A'Nabe Way. I bought a copy of the old game we were playing and we are rebuilding it to ouir specs plus adding a few new races and classes and other stuff. We are just learning but both of us have DMed on-line and I have also built some
on-line so if you need Any Asst. DMs or builders please let us know as we have more time then money. We would be happy to help. Also once we start playing and if we like it we nornaly send in 10.00 a month to help pay for the server as that only seems fair to us.
I plan on playing and have sent in for approval a Wood Elf Rogue/Ranger Female whom I think will be a good addition to any team. Later on I hope to add my Native American based character to the game as he is lot of fun to play He is A'Nabe which is the race I am adding to my game they are based on Native Americans.
So once again Aho and I hope to join you all soon

| RE: Aho (Means Hello) Welcome to Layonara! I also play a wood elf here, so I look forward to meeting you in game. The hakfiles are huge, but well worth the download time as we have all sorts of custom content here. Flying griffons, custom classes, feats and skills, wemics, half-giants, and that's only scratching the surface. Check out our manual in the downloads section while you're waiting for approval, they did an amazing job on it.
Warning: Layonara is known to entirely change sleeping patterns, and there may be withdrawal symptoms when away from the computer for more than an hour. | | |

| RE: Aho (Means Hello) Well met, Eagleman. Sit down, play some cards with an old mercenary, talk with the Great Druid, or seek your fortune among the lands of Layonara.
ummm... if you plan on staying alive for any length of time, I suggest the card playing and druid talking...
