| Introduce Yourself Take the time to say hello and introduce yourself and maybe ask a question or two. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | Greetings from Polak76 Gday all! (yes thats the typical Aussie 'hello' coming from Sydney Australia)
I began life in Layo about three years ago. It came about one day as I was fooling around NWN in single player and my mate asked me had i ever tried playing it online. It tickled my curiosity and until then the only online game i played was Diablo I & II. Anyway I explored the multi-player option and previewed a couple of worlds and Layo just so happened to be the first world that appealed to me (not to mention the best after sampling many other worlds since).
Anyway from that point I was hooked, much to my partners displeasure. Since that time I've been married and now have our first child at 6 mths (yes, there are more to come). I work for a large Chemical Company in Australia and live about 1/2hr northwest from Sydney itself.
Layo has been great for that much needed escape from the fast busy lifestyle. Other than Layo i enjoy soccer & fishing, a drink with the lads and most of all spending time with my wonderful family.
When people ask me what Layo is, the best way I can describe it is an ongoing, interactive online story that you as a character/player have an opportunity to shape. That to me is it's greatest hook and what keeps me here to this day.
Cheers,
Polak76

| Re: Greetings from Polak76 Okay i owe some of you some photo's of my family.
I got heaps of my son but this one will do for now. His name is Nikolas and he's our first turning 7 months old last wednesday.
I couldn't find anything of my wife and i, then I remembered my cousins wedding last year. This was the only thing i could find on another website(and yes that uniform is from the bridal party).
Cheers,
Polak76

| Re: Greetings from Polak76 Well mate, i showed him the little pic of your daughter on my monitor and he gave me a curt nod and sly wink. I rekon your gonna have your hands full!
And since you said girl's meaning more than one, I'd say you really have your hands full!

| Re: Greetings from Polak76 It only seems like the other day that I posted the first pics of my son and only two weeks ago he had his first birthday.
Therefore here are a few more pics at his party in the park a couple of sundays ago.
God time flies! I should pull him up for power levelling.
Cheers,
Polak76

Well, congrats again! | Now that certainly has flown. IT's actually quite amazing when I think about it. When I began Layo somewhere around 4 years back that seemed to be the begining of many changes in my life. We could almost title Layo as a RP world and Real Life soapie. Move out Young and the restless and hello Layo.

He can turn a neat living room into an environmental disaster within 5-10mintues. The joys of children.
Also the way my wife holds that knife I sometimes wonder if she'd rather butterfly and fillet me rather than cut the cake.

I thought you were gonna say something like it looked like you!
Hahaha, anyway that guy in the background is my best mate. That might be possible, however, Nikolas does look very much like me. I just need to show you my good side.
Anyway my misus was probably telling my mate to shut the hell up so we could start singing happy B-day.
