Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Okay, before I begin, just want to warn you, I hit Back just now, so I'm going to be a bit moodier in my introduction than I was in my first attempt. I hate it when that happens.
Anyhow, some of you may know me as Kinai Kinsei or Seidahn Xyvorn, maybe even by Khanschei Crystiin (but she's dead now so no one cares)... I've played here for roughly two months, the 15th of March marks the point. I'm still new, so I'm not sure if most of you know me...
So, player behind the character! Right! Hello, I'm Christine Adams, high school kid who doesn't quite fit in...But getting there. Ever so slowly. People still love me! I'm more into the creative arts (my muses!) than sports...I'm mostly called the Drama Kid at school. If there's a play or a musical, I'm bound to be a part of it somewhere. I also love to write, draw, play piano, and volunteer at the vet's when I've got nothing better to do.
I live in the state of Ohio, an only child born to my human and American father and a Japanese mother. So yes, I'm a hybrid with the Japanese language ear. That's about the only real unique thing about this girl.
There you go then. That's me. What you see is what you get. I'm on the right with my cousin Kaytie on the left. No, my hair isn't that short, it's up. Any more questions?

You're one of the few I talk more regularly to in game, so I'm glad to hear a bit about you! I did not realize you had only been here for two months. That's not that much longer than myself. I suppose you have been more productive with your time here than I have, with all your trading business and what not. Oh well...

I try to be productive with my time... If anything, as long as you aren't standing around Hlint- Err, Hempstead - and not roleplaying, I think that's being productive. Still, I think a good deal of adventuring and partaking in tradeskills is good for character development... Honestly, without the certain people I've met out there in the wilds (Czukay, Dur'Thak, etc), Kinai would have been another floozy idiot. I'm glad to have the community of people to roleplay in 
And Lynn, hee hee, glad to see there's another teen here! Thought everyone was oldddd :P

おはよう Christine! I've become so rusty in writing the japanese language I dare not try more than that hehe. It's cool to see the faces behind the players sometimes
