| Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Hey there... 
Ahh haha, anyways, G'day to yall and how're ya doin' today? Found this site and it reallly looks fun. More fun than any other server I've played on NWN, honestly, and I wanted to give it a try. So, I can't wait to post my character and be able to jump in and see how great of a world this is and how hospitable the players and GMs are. See ya IG  .

Btw.. what's an elven subrace thats good for players just starting this server and trying to get an idea of how it goes and stuff. Cause this all looks complicated and I don't want to choose something too hard to play right off the bat.

Why not just play a regular elf to get started then? If you do want to play a subrace, but certainly not required, then your character submission (which is required before creating the character on the server) needs to be in depth enough to describe the why he/she wants to be an adventurer, where he/she is from, family backgroud, personality...good solid background. I suggest you read some of the character submissions to get a good idea of what's expected. Don't forget to use the "New Players" drop-down menu...ton's of good info there. Anyway welcome to Layonara and I hope you have as much fun as I do playing here....it's great and so is the community!

If you get approved than you just need that "quest thing"
