| Just for Fun A forum section to lighten your day with jokes, funny links, and things that make you laugh. Keep them clean and remember this is a family server. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | Sydney FC triumph I can't believe I forgot to mention this yesterday. I mean, how could I pass up an opportunity to give it to our yankie comrads?
Anyway Beckham fever certainly hit Sydney over the last few days leading up to the game. I don't rate him as a player but he certainly takes the cake as a celebrity.
Well down to the nitty gritty, Sydney FC smoked LA Galaxy 5-3. It looks like the LA Galaxy might have started with a 'Big Bang' but they certainly ended in a 'Little Fizzle'.
So for all you soccer fans in the U.S. back to the drawing board for you! And rather then spend $250M on one overrated player, you could probably by a whole team for one quarter that price. However, if he manages to promote soccer in a big way over there, I guess it will be money well spent in the long run.
Peace,
Polak

| Re: Sydney FC triumph Nice. Leave it to America to take something great, commercialize the heck out of it, and totally destroy its worth.

All the other sports here are fixed and riddled with drugs, gambling and cheating that at least you get a good script going with WWE. I only wish our government was more interested in investigating things like our national debt and the constitution going through the paper shredder than they are over what goes into Barry Bonds and Triple H's bums via syringe. You never see mandatory drug tests for congressmen or the president, and it's not like our lives are in Hulk Hogan's hands.

| Re: Sydney FC triumph I hear you GB. Last year we had a sewer blockage and a mate of mine who is a plumber had to come in to clear it. Two hours of wading in ankle-deep unspeakable filth I thought to myself 'I haven't even seen the bill yet but no amount of money could possibly be worth this.' Even less fair is the teacher who gets paid bugger all to educate 30 little hell-spawn children every weekday. Compare this to the guy who gets paid $1 million a week to play a game most of us play as a leisure activity and a respite from real work because it is fun!
Anyways, what was my point? *wanders off aimlessly*

| Re: Sydney FC triumph PS. I think Hulk Hogan would make an exemplary politician ... I mean Jesse Ventura did alright didn't he and he was a shadow of Hulk Hogan as a wrestler.

Unfortunately they don't usually have a long comfortable life after professional rugby when they retire.
