Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | RE: Most stupdest moment ever Heh, I was working in the warehouse thursday and had to stack like 600lbs of oak and mahogany mantles and wall edging. All that went though my mind was... Sweet! I can hit anything with +2/30 DR with this! | | |

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever Every time I open up a new programming reference manual I can't help but think to myself... "mmm what spells will I learn from this tome". Yes I feel that there is little difference between programming and spellcasting. There's a reason why coders say things like "the code will automagically do that for you" when describing the inherent behaviour of a feature that does the right thing at the right time without the user having to do anything special.

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever I'v had some moments when my mind was on other things and it started to get fuzzy. I think the best (as in the most inane) was probably this morning, I had just opened up my accounting book and with a clear head started reading thru it.
You know how you lable things a certain number of dolars right? I had "gp" after evry number. Even worse I have managed to mingle the money ozy donaited to the Ancient Library into my account records. I was wondering why I was short over 300,000 Dolars in my ledger when my bank indicated I wasn't in debt at all.
I'v also done the "onest8" thing alot with any number of manuals not to mention programing things... The next runner up is when my wife wispered in my ear "My bard" I said "Yesums." and nodded my head like an idiot..

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever Heh I've posted this before but it still makes me blush when I think of it. Just finished a long long quest with Bilviki (first incarnation) and it was about 4am in the morning, my wife gets up and goes to the bathroom and on the way back asks me something I don't quite hear (probably are you coming to bed now) and out of the blue I say to her..."Bil not know, Bil is stupid goblin yes he is."
heh Its almost happened a couple of times at work too when I've been busy and not concentrating on what's being said to me. Fortunately I've always managed to catch myself, well upto now anyway

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever This is an old one that was posed a long time ago..
I was sitting at denny's one late night... having a bottemless cup of coffie can aid my already shattered mind...
I was sitting infront of the juice macines and war staring right at the cranberry juice... All the sudden while my PNP AD&D buddies were talking about some quest tey found in an old Magazine I blurted out "I wonder how many bottle of that cranberry jucie i can get.." and they lookd at me for a long time so i spoke up and said.."I need that stuff to make essences out of for my sword of the dragonslayer..not to mention that Crazy bard Ozy is looking for some so he also can make the swords and sell them to build a libary" aster 10 minutes of total slince between me, my friends and the now awed waiter... some one asked me what the heck is wrong with me and i blurted out "you know Ozy right? the crazy bard that walks around here muttering crazy stuff?" and that's when it hit me io wasn't in the game so i striked a pose and ran off to my car,

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever Oh man... take a break.. really... when reality shatters like that.. you need time to glue it back together properly. Worst I ever did was wonder if the grocery store had spotted mushrooms.

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever My wife woke me up this morning, she had to come shake me several times before I actually became coherent, when I could finally comprehend what she was asking me she was very frustrated and asked "Why are you so hard to get out of bed this morning!?" I replied "I keep failing my saving throw vs. sleep"

| RE: Most stupdest moment ever I'm not sure if anyone cares about dredging up old topics, but I guess I'll find out.
I was standing in line at a store, and no one had moved for a while. So I began to wonder if the "lag" had made it look like everyone was still there, but they were actually all gone and I looked like an idiot. It took longer to catch myself than I care to admit...
