Shop Sales, Realities, Suggestions etc

Hi everyone,

We were indeed hoping to expand to more offerings but it's quite a bit of work to get set up and it just doesn't seem like it would be worth our while, so we're just going to let the shop sit on it's own offering our current products so I can get back to other developments.

We have made some efforts to promote on the outside but the best way we're going to sell more is through word of mouth. We need people to see folks wearing these things so we can pass the word on.

For those interested, and just to show the reality of sales here is the breakdown of shop commissions:

Administrators - $104 (Leanthar, Thak, EdTheKet, Dorganath, OneST8, me)
Game Masters/Project Writers - $74 ( Thank you IceDragonDuvessa, Talan, Rowana, and Laldiien)
General Community - $34 ( Thank you Lonnarin, AeonBlues and one other person, don't know who you are! )

I would love to expand to more offerings but the recent poll shows the majority of the community can't or won't pay for these things. Though only about 60 people responded to the recent poll, we're not sure if others are waiting for anything in particular.

I was going to offer custom creations for our clothing, however I'm hesitant to put effort toward creating these to only have the buyer turn wishy washy and not bother purchasing it in the end. I have seen quite a few "Oh I'd buy that", but sales are not dictating such statements.

We are looking at alternative methods of donation or payment, but it's work and/or money just to get some of these setup.

We're looking more for suggestions on what to put on our clothing, not different products, as until we sell some more shirts I won't be looking into setting up with another shop or buying a lot of one thing to sell as opposed to print on demand.

If there are reasons you have avoided making a purchase other then the lack of credit card, lack of spare funds or no interest in our clothing/styles, please let me know.

I wanted to note, however that we don't get every dollar that you pay, we get commissions we set based on each product. We get anywhere from $5-8 on each item. Some people might then argue that it's better to just donate rather then spend that amount of money when we don't get it all. However we want you to wear these shirts, we want you to have a tangible piece of Layonara history, we also don't mind you wearing a product with Layonara upon it so if someone sees your shirt they might make a mental note or maybe even ask you where you got it.

(I know you hear it all the time... but this one I would buy in a nice green T-shirt)


But you could have one that said...

I just wanted to let everyone know that we got our Fantasy Gear order delivered today and we are VERY happy with everything! The mouse pad looks just as good in RL as it did on the web, and the t-shirts are sturdy, not the flimsy kind. I can highly recommend the indigo blue color.
