| Layonara MMO Please use this forum to discuss the Layonara MMO. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | Re: Fishing Skill(s) the fishing net, not so much, unless the garbage floats around. I've gone fishing with a net, and it requires patience, time, and a good meal. but you get the most pay off from it.
You toss the net out in a fashion that lets it go wide spread. (there is a technique on how to do it, but I can't think of how to explain) Once you get the set-up, you leave the line to the net down, and wait a good 10-30 minutes. (in a populated fish area, that is, plus bait to draw them all in) when you think you have them well in your grasp, yank the line to the net, and it grabs up a good 3 or 4 fish (larger ones... you can get tons of little ones, and I mean 'little' ones....) I managed to get 3 bream and a small mouth bass, but that was mostly because I was out on the dock setting up, and the lake wasn't too deep, so the net could lay on the bottom. | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Link092 For This Useful Post:

| Re: Fishing Skill(s) The chances of "garbage" are a percent.
With the net, the potential garbage collected might be various articles of light-weight clothing, paper, or floating plant matter.

| Re: Fishing Skill(s) true, and floating things do get caught. A friend of mine caught more water plants than anything else.
actually, you could do percent changes with the area. so nets have higher percents in areas with water lilies, and rods catch more trash from debris filled rivers after a war.

Net fishing at Sea World yields the greatest bounty. But Typhoon Lagoon was by far the most entertaining, nabbing younglings as they came down the waterslide. They were too small though, so the lifeguard made me toss them back. -Orlando Fishing Tips

And what would the greater purposes of fishing be, if not catching fish for food or food related things like fish oil? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
