LSPM Bug Reports Report all bugs related to the Layonara Single Player Module here

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Default NWAID - Questions and Info

Not sure this is a bug, but I can not seem to get it to work. When can it be used? what does exact command look like? *looks around* , *[looks around]* , *[looks] [Around]* , ** etc... Do you need to be near someting for it to work? Thanks, Etin Edit Talan Va'lash: Edited the topic so I could sticky this as a general help thread - TV

Any time you enter an area where it can be used, you will get a journal entry that notifies you of that. That is when I would suggust typing *Looks around* and you will be told what things you can further examine, touch, take, ect.
EDIT: Ioskeha beat me to it ;) - But let us know if you have any more questions.

examples of correct syntax: *looks around* or *look around* *examine boulder* or *examines the boulder* or *look boulder* or *looks at the boulder* As mentioned in the referenced thread nwaid interaction is only possible in NWAID areas (of which there are a handful.) It would take too much time to build every area as NWAID interactive AND take way too long for the player to get through if every area was NWAID interactive (plus, some things are simply not interesting enough to warrant their own descriptions hehe)

hehe..yeah I understand. I did figure it out. And I did figure out the NWAID spots. It was a bit confusing at first. But once you realize then it is a breeze. I am still having trouble using certain commands. Like putting a command in a hot spot. Does it actually place it in a hot key like f4 for example or does it have it's behind the scene own keys. Thinking about it, it is probably the same as a custom macro. And I can maybe just enter that myself.

If that it true, does the /o *look around* work? Course this is single player, and no one will see it if you jest type /talk *look around* , but it reminds me so much of Layo (which is what it is) that I do things the same.

I love this nwaid. Zork on steroids.

Thanks,

Etin

You can make custom macros for nwaid just as you would *nod* or whatever for layonara. *Look around* is an especially useful one. The mem commands let you store stuff without using a quickslot. The Mem0-Mem9 slots are not related to quickslots at all. To repeat the last thing you said type "mem4" then whatever you typed last is stored in memory slot 4. To speak whats in the slot type "
