| Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities When I enter Orc's Watch for the first time, the Halfling comes up to me and begins his conversation. I then answer in this manner
Me: I'm looking for Dapper Millerson.
Halfling: Ahh.. an old friend of his or something?
Me: No, I just have to ask him some questions.
Halfling: Ah, well alright... Just so you know Dapper hasn't seemed to be quite himself lately.
Me: Why?
And then without answering, the Halfling walks towards the Red Crow Tavern and opens the door and goes inside. I was wondering why he didn't answer and he just left me hanging and I'm thinking "uhh, is that supposed to happen?" I go inside the Tavern and I don't see the Halfling so, I don't know, I'm confused so I'm just reporting it here. If it was meant to be like that, sorry.

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities Thank you for testing Lindel
This is indeed a bug. Most likely a broken link in the particular dialog sequence you took. Quote: |
I'm confused so I'm just reporting it here. If it was meant to be like that, sorry.
| I want ANYTHING thats confusing reported! Even if it isn't a bug, if it is confusing it is something that needs to be at least looked at. Things should make sense in the game world.
Never be afraid to report anything! I will never criticize you for reporting something that isn't actually a bug (if I sound like I am, I don't mean it, honest.)
As long as you post in the bug report format DMOE laid out you're good. I'd also ask that you skim the currently unfixed bugs to make sure the bug hasn't already been reported.
I'm only mentioning these things to let you know that as long as you do that you never have to appologize for making a bug report. What you're done so far has been perfect.

| Finally got around to looking into this and I can't find the exact dialogue you quote anywhere in the conversation.
There are several ways to go through every conversation and to find the exact point you're experiencing difficulties with I need the exact text. In some cases a paraphrase is good enough but in most it isn't.
Copy/Paste from the log is ideal and easier than a screenshot but if you're not logging a screenshot or exact transcription of the passage will work just fine. Doesn't have to be much just the NPCs speech, and your response leading up to the point where it breaks.

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities I might be able to find an exact quote for you when I get home, I think I ran into this one also. If I remember correctly though that is pretty much an exact quote from that fat halfling | | |

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities Odd, beta 4 he just went through it without leaving, might have to test this one a bit.
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:35:14] Plump Halfling: Well hello there lad, ain't never seen you round these parts before. What brings you to Orc's Watch?

[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:35:34] Spectorial Melimion: What do you mean?
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:35:35] Plump Halfling: Oh, well you didn't hear it from me... but, Dapper hasn't seemed to be quite himself lately. He has been receiving all sorts of things from the post and some hear tell him mention something of a Bloodpool.
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:35:58] Plump Halfling: I don't know all that much about it myself, but you hear a lot of rumors around these parts. They say that a Bloodpool was restored. *Covers his mouth then speaks in a bit of a whisper.* But luckily somebody in a tower has the means to destroy it... *Pauses briefly.* or was that to make it stronger?
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:36:13] Plump Halfling: Well, either way Dapper would know more of these things, and since you're his friend you can ask him! *The halfling squints at you.* Just be careful if he's not in a good mood or if you're not as good of a friend as you led me to believe.
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:36:25] Spectorial Melimion: Thanks for letting me know, I need to go now.
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Fri Dec 15 12:36:25] Plump Halfling: Aye! Good luck to you then. *The halfling nods and then continues on his way.*

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities maybe I fixed it and forgot to log that I'd fixed it?
There are several ways through this convo and when I looked them over last night this point in all of them seemed fine.

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities Ahh, well here is a bit more info, he walked off this time. Could this be somehow hooked up, by accident, with the loot your friends script? I'll test it again just to see but it seems to me now that if you loot your friends and get the shift for it he walks off at the same point mentioned above. I'll look into it a bit more in a couple minutes.
Edit: if I don't loot the corpses and don't bury them, the convo is fine. If I don't loot them and bury them, the convo is fine. So I guess it has something to do with when the corpses are looted, I dunno a similar var name that is tested?

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities So if you loot your friends this convo breaks. If you don't it works?
Thats sooooooooo bizarre.
Well. this definitely needs looking into.
Note to self: Look into this

| Re: Orc's Watch: Plump Halfling - Convo Irregularities Oh! Discovered this bug.
Doesn't have anything to do with looting though, that was a pure coincidence.
Fixed in next update
