| LSPM Fixed Bugs Move all fixed bugs for the Layonara Single Player Module here. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | Re: Beta4 OW - Arder - Timing off for second meeting Ugh, would you believe he's not shown at all yet, looted the guys bodies from the caravan, didn't bury them...it's now the beginning of the 15th day, and the journal entry for the bloodied letter is dated the 7th. Will keep an eye out for him.... | | |

| Re: Beta4 OW - Arder - Timing off for second meeting I'm talking about the second appearance, as per the title of the thread you said you fixed it to be two days later...and it now seems to be several with no appearance. So you mean to say he won't show up for the second appearance if you loot the bodies? Is that what you intended? | | |

| If you don't meet him the first time you won't meet him the second time.
If you loot the bodies you won't meet him the first time.
So if you loot the bodies you won't meet him the 2nd time.

| Re: Beta4 OW - Arder - Timing off for second meeting Added a script to not have Arder's Battered Pack appear in the North Point Region Animal Cave if the PC hasn't taken the plot fork where he receives Arder's Quest.
Should alleviate some of the confusion.

| Re: Beta4 OW - Arder - Timing off for second meeting I'm still kind of confused as to why you are limiting the second encounter if the char doesn't get the first encounter. Just curious, I thought we had changed his convo earlier so that it made sense when a char doesn't get the first encounter, and meets him for the second only. | | |

| Re: Beta4 OW - Arder - Timing off for second meeting The whole scenario makes less sense then. Actually very little of the dialog does because it's premise is that you owe him a debt of gratitude for him helping you earlier.
Not every quest has to be available every time. Actually I'd rather have more quests that are mutually exclusive to make the mod more replayable... but that would mean more quests overall and thats not something we could do with the manpower we had available.
What it comes down to is, you didn't meet arder so why would he come to you for help?
Who knows he might not even get ambushed in the timeline where he doesn't meet with you. *shrugs* It's also to give something to the paladins/lawful characters who, if played properly to retain their lawful alignment, will miss out on some goodies. So they get a special quest.
