| LSPM Fixed Bugs Move all fixed bugs for the Layonara Single Player Module here. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | Item - Lead Boots - Description It says 'Write me', for its description. So uhh here take your pick ;)
Sturdy lead boots, with a soft padded leather interior to give some comfort to the wearer. Although you wonder who would really want to wear something so heavy.
-or-
It is rumoured that the first pair of Lead Boots was created by a rather odd gnome by tha name of Hirlt Leadbottom. You see old Hirlt had a son who at the ripe old age of ten could outrun his father. No matter how much Hirlt tried his son would just keep on running away instead of doing his chores and such around the house. So he came up with an idea of making a pair of lead boots to slow him down, how he actually got his son to wear them is anyones guess. But now such sayings as "Don't make me get out the boots!" and "If you don't slow down I'll give ya the boots!" are common phrases around the Leadbottom households.
-or-
Hirlt Leadbottom, that name still brings a smile to anyone in the Leadbottom Clan these days as stories of his great adventures still get told to the children. It is said that these particular boots were created by him to win a bet with a certain dwarf who thought that since his last name was 'Leadbottom' he couldn't possibly beat him in a footrace. So, Leadbottom took up the challenge and said he'd run him a 60 foot race if he could pick the place where the race would take place. The dwarf happily shook on the deal and Leadbottom said to meet him on the beach by the local river the next morning. When the dwarf got there Leadbottom pointed to the other side of the quickly flowing river and said, 'First one to the other side of the river, and touches that rock wins." The dwarf began cursing and Leadbottom donned his boots with a small smile. Needless to say the dwarf got washed a good 200 feet down the river and Leadbottom easily walked across in these boots to win the race. | | |

| Re: Item - Lead Boots - Description Okay, I like a combination of the first (physical description) plus one of the two latter descriptions.
But I like them both! hehe. Which story do you prefer?

| Re: Item - Lead Boots - Description Didn't know there was a lead boots in LSPM....
Here is the minor description from our list Talan: Dwarven Lead Boots Finely crafted from an odd lusterless metal, these heavy boots of dwarves make feel like they would surely stay firm against the ground, but you wonder how well you will be able to maneuver in combat. Ability Bonus: Constitution +2 Decreased Saving Throws: Specific: Reflex -2 Immunity: Miscellaneous: Knockdown
I'm not even sure the property is the same as that though, to tell you the truth.

| Re: Item - Lead Boots - Description Ohh yeah those are entirely different.
I wrote those boots way before the LSPM. The boots in the LSPM are so you can walk better in the underwater scene
