Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | Unite An essay I wrote in english(class), inspired by the night elf campaign in Warcraft III and by my own char's situation.
The subecjt was that we should choose twenty words from a paper with 30, as I looked at the paper, the first words that I saw was something like: sneak, prey etc. so the story just came naturally.
There migth be some comma mistakes since Ive never learned the difference between danish and english.

| RE: Unite Interesting situation, and nice play on prejudice. The story needs a little more flesh; perhaps, a little more description of the hated humans- something to make us sympathize with or hate them more. Right now, all we (the reader) senses is the elves' hatred, and not our own.

| RE: Unite It's not the humans' background, per se', but rather, anything that gives them life, that would be nice. The beast (a wyvern?) has more life than the humans; it appears more real. And I'm assuming I get your point, but then, interpretation is everything and nothing.

| RE: Unite maybe, It was just an english essay Ill remember your advice, though Im still not sure what you mean, from the view of the sisters it doesnt matter how the humans look or what they say.
Actually I deleted a part saying, "there is a point, but its much funnier to find it yourself!" because my english teacher is good at english, but she has missed some things in some other stories I'v written. Actually (scratch scratch) she missed a lot in this story

| RE: Unite Keep writing. English is a tricky language thanks to Idiom.
Keep this in mind as you do: "Do I write for myself, or for others?"
