| Becoming a cleric My character, Storold, wants to become a cleric, he doesn’t know about the gods and therefore don’t follow a deity. How can this be done? I have though of doing these things;
1.Finding a deity through rp with other characters
2.Then requesting a cdq to make him a nember of the clergy of the god he chooses to follow
I would like to know if this is the right way to go or if there could be alternative routes to become a cleric. Also I would like some guidance going through these steps or the step you propose.

Yep, that is pretty much what you need to do in order to switch to a cleric class. Find others of faith (clerics, paladins, druids etc.) and RP in game about their gods and such and once your character decides go ahead and make a request in your approved character to add the cleric classes. Once that has been approved you are good to go...you don't really need a CDQ for this but it is okay if you want to have one run.

| RE: Becoming a cleric I have spoken to a few on the team and we have decided that to multi-class in to a character of faith (cleric, paladin, druid etc.) should indeed always require a CDQ. So please make sure you apply for it when the time is right. | | |

| RE: Becoming a cleric Ok, here's a good one. If I'm a paladin of Torun, do I need to do a CDQ to multiclass over to Cleric? Or Could it be RP'd by a holy warrior of Torun semi-retiring and becoming more focused in his faith?

| I would think so. You'd at least need an updated bio and a chracter development thread.
Besides, they're fun | | |

| RE: Becoming a cleric Well I am in need of ideas for the cdq, I really don't know what the team would ask of Storold to make him a cleric of Lucinda.
I thought of meeting up with some of the other clerics and swear some kind of oath or prove myself worthy of becoming a cleric. Is this good enough, or should I do something else, please share your ideas...

Did you read the 21 pages on the Church of Lucinda in the new Handbook?

| RE: Becoming a cleric Thanks for making me read the manual, I really got enlightend there. Before I was thinking of making Storold a 10/10 cleric-mage, and then go for paladin at epic. Now that I found the Lucinda's chapter of protection, which would fit better for Storold rp-wise but not stat-wise, I got the idea of building him 10/10 mage-paladin and then maybe later an epic cleric. I have got some good ideas for his cdq from reading this as well... | | |

I would think that a Paladin holds a higher commitment to their god than a Cleric.
| I disagree; A Paladin is a warrior in the cause of the Church. The cleric is the church.
While the deity is tantamount to the Cleric, I believe that it's more the cause that's important to Paladin, and upholding good above all else. I've never really enjoyed the idea of a Paladin with a Deity anyways... Always figured they got their powers for being "pure". Re: Quest for Glory series.
