Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. |  Dragon Attacks on Southern Mistone
Word spreads like fall fires.. merchant caravans, settlements and patrols have all been set upon by a large dragon that seems to be marauding here and there across the continent in a maddened, and some say injured, state.
More and more lost lives are attributed to these attacks as reports of charred caravans and homes trickle in... some even saying they smelled not of sulphur but of sharp fumes that would make your chest hurt at the slightest whiff.
Guards are on alert and even in Hempstead and Vehl extra lookouts and partols are set up.

*rumor of druid investigation in the southern reaches of mistone, found sign of wagons and damaged carts with a clear trail by sky view of a path to the gloom woods.
upon searching the glooms and dispatch of the undead prowling about, no more sign of the dragon was found*

Rumors abound of an dragon attack in Wayfare... And those who journey through the area certainly see burned houses and destruction such as a dragon could cause. Some say that a valiant band of adventurers drove off the beast, while other murmur bitterly about fools with swords inciting the dragon to do further damage to their beloved town.
