Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

Ulgrid's Fortress was viciously attacked by a wave of undead led by a woman dressed in black silken robes. Many of Ulgrid's finest fell in the battle and have been supplemented by troops from Brenuth. The woman demanded the turn over of all kin from the Headbang clan in exhange for a truce with the fortress. Women and children kin have been evacuated to Bloody Gate until this threat has passed.

The attacks on the Fortress have ceased. However, the Fortress remains at an elevated state of readiness during this time as women and children are escorted back to their homes from the Bloody Gate.
Dwarves are cautioned to travel in groups in the mountains as some dwarves have been cursed and animated as undead creations. Report any unusual sightings or undead activity in the mountains to Hulkah Axenfawn of Ulgrid's Fortress.

A dark haired woman in a blue cloak is sometimes seen listening with greater than average interest to rumors surrounding the attack on Ulgrid's Fortress or the woman known as Laura.
The woman, known to some as Jaelle and others simply as the "blue witch", seems to prefer listening to others over venturing her own opinion on the matter. If asked to comment, she makes some polite excuse. Her face is ever a mask of inscrutable calm, rarely betraying her true thoughts on the matter.
