Rumour Has It This forum will be used by players and GM's to post gossip (in character) about what is happening in the world as it happens. IE, outcomes of quests, attacks on towns etc.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Default At The Temple in Fort Llast

A very distraught woman was seen entering the Toranite temple on the fourth of Novlar. Witnesses claim the woman had clearly been crying. The pretty young woman was dressed in red and wore the symbol of Ilsare at her throat.

A local who happened to be in the temple at the time claims he saw her speak to two Toranite paladins who happened to be present. Upon further inquiry, he learned the paladins in question were Knight Lance Stargazer and Initiate Daniella Stormhaven.

Although little was overheard of the conversation, it seemed the woman was reporting an alleged murder. Perhaps one might learn more by asking the Toranites who seem to be handling the matter.

Near the city walls of Port Hempstead , people reports to have seen a man in a hood speaking with a Toranite knight, This hooded man seems to be the suspect of Murder that the lady spoke acording to his description.

Report says that the paladin let the suspect go after a long talk, the suspect left saying that he only would turn to two people .- the Shining hand itself, Quantum winwords or Sir Barion Firestead.

Some withnesses ensures that the suspects confesed his crime, but that cannot be confirmed.

The knight was lost of sight on the crowded streets of Hempstead

Next morning the knight clad in blue armor is seen walking towards some points of the city, asking the wheraabouts of a man named Elgon of his sisters.

Leaving messages at the Orcbasher's shop, the Angel's guild and tacking a note in the gem crafting area.

*the note reads as follows*

Elgon, I hope you are fine at this moment, if word reaches you, please send me a note telling me where I can find you. Signed Lance.

A few hours after he is seen riding a white horse running the way to Fort Llast.

*Alatriel walks past a few people gossiping in the streets of Hempstead about some man who killed his brother*

*sighs and mumbles to herself* I tried to warn him... I tried to stop it. No one ever seems to listen to me...

In the inn of Hlint, two drinking gnomes chatters about a paladin and a woman being seen talking to a man fitting the description of the accused, in front of the temple in fort Llast. Rumoring a discussion about how the victim would not press charges against the perpetrator of the rumored crime.

"I swear mate, the three talked about it for hours there. Telling you, the dark fellow said that the victim had a chance to take justice in his hand and didn't."

"So he won't press charges?"

"apparently not.. can you even understand that?"

"I wonder why?"

"Maybe he got hit to much on the head?"

As they keep talking, more comes to fact that if pursued, the suspect would defend himself unless met by a man called Barion or the shining hand himself. After a few more drinks the gnomes parts ways.
