| Rumour Has It This forum will be used by players and GM's to post gossip (in character) about what is happening in the world as it happens. IE, outcomes of quests, attacks on towns etc. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Name: Unknown
Description: a figure, presumed human, covered in dark robes, often seen carrying a walking stick and a lantern made from a skull.
This individual is wanted for questioning regarding the discovery of various dead and drained creatures, including one of the Queen's guards. Reports have been received of the figure walking through Hlint, in the Krandor and Zainge River area, near Fort Llast and the road between Fort Llast and Hlint.
This figure should be considered very dangerous. If spotted, do not approach, but notify the local authorities as soon as possible with any information regarding these sightings.

| RE: Wanted for Questioning *Stepping from the shadows Lalaith quietly reads the notice. She glances over her shoulder and scans the horizon as if searching*
*Quietly she speaks to herself*Â
We would not still have this problem if I could have stayed on the trail of the creature. *she shakes her head slighlty* For once the rainÂdid wash ALL.. washed all the tracks away.ÂÂI am notÂquite a tracker yet either..ÂNo matter though. It just means it will take longer, but I will find him.
*As she steps away from the notice she places her hand on theÂhilt of her short sword. Her eyes once more scan the horizon, before she disappears into the shadows*ÂÂÂ

| RE: Wanted for Questioning *Written in a firm flowing script*
This individual has been spotted in the Broken Forest. He moved quickly and no attempt to apprehend was possible. It should be noted that a short time later a few men appeared, asking if said individual had been seen. Once they had been informed of the near encounter, they left in hasty pursuit.

| RE: Wanted for Questioning *"Hyell" see's the notice and looks down at himself*
"Well ... that's not good ... maybe I should change the coloring? No ... I am blending in well enough by sticking out. Drop the walking stick? No ... I put so much work in it ... I ... made a pair, and this is the only one I have left. I suppose so long as I don't have a skull lantern I should be fine ... If they bring me in instead of this person though, things could go badly ..."
*he looks around to see that a few townspeople were watching him read the sign. He makes sure his face is masked by his hood, and he walks away.*

| RE: Wanted for Questioning *As Lalaith passes by, once more the small note catches her eye. She approaches the note half in shadow and reads it for the second time. She frowns slight in thought. Likely Lalaith wonders whose eyes have looked upon this message and if any help can really come of it now.* *She presses her lips together slightly as she reaches with her left hand into a small pack at her side. Slow she removes her hand clutching a chain to what appears to be an amulet. As Lalaith pulls the amulet from her pack a dim red glow seems to illuminate from the pack. Holding the amulet gently by the chain she lifts it up slightly while examining it with her other hand. In the center of the amulet is a large ruby. The amulet continues to cast an eerie red glow, illuminating the shadows and lighting the area around Lalaith.* *At first as she examines the amulet Lalaith has a look of curiousity and maybe even worry on her face. As the curiousity melts away however, a look of determination sets in her features and takes its place.* *She carefully replaces the amulet in her pack and ties the pack tightly, her movements are definite and reflective of the determination that graces her features. She quickly glances once more at the note, apparently deciding to leave it posted for now. She then resolutely steps away. Her movements quick and planned now, her eyes scan the horizon before she steps into the shadows. Judging by her movements and determination... Âone watching her may think she moves now as if she is set with a goal, as if it were something her own life ..depended on.*Â

| RE: Wanted for Questioning *Carr spies the notice posted in Hlint.*
*He frowns, thinking. Then replies, in writing, on a seperate piece of parchment: "Does the person ask riddles? Are the dead similar in appearance to that of zombies?"*
*Carr then resumes what he was originally doing.*
