Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Kell, glancing absently through the notices in the Trade Hall, stops as the posting catches his eye. He reads silently, and the corner of his mouth quirks up slightly... he grins.... and finally laughs aloud.
Holding his side with one hand, shoulders still quivering, he inks a quill and pens a quick response.
You may as well be asking for raw diamond, friend.

*Ami walks up and grins* Finally! I have been carrying this box for ages! *claps excitedly*
Miss Muireann, I have a box of such mushrooms that I had collected for no real apparent reason other than I liked the way they looked. But they have become so heavy.
So, I am Ami. I wear a over coat, short pants and a beautiful blouse all in the color of the Lady of Dreams. I have blonde hair up in a pony tail, blue eyes and long beautiful pointed ears that I got from my mother's side of the family. My dad's ears are too pointed and skinny, to me anyway. Mine are more full and the length and width are more proportional. I think my ears set the example of elven ears. Ilsare definately blessed me in the ear category. i think my feet are a little big. But my other body features distract from my feet and the shoes sort of make them look smaller, too. I heard maybe some stripes and a little shadow will de-emphasize my foot size.

Okay! I am not hard to spot. Some say I have a hard time being quiet too. So I will probably not be hard to hear coming either.
