Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

Default Strange meeting in the GreyPeak Mountains

*An elaborately written note posted above all other notes*

I was traveling in the Grey Peak Mountains this night with companions. When we reached Storan's Crypt, we met a strange man who was studying the surrounding area. He was wearing blue robes and carrying what looked like a staff that was glowing. I approached him and he told me to "Leave or Die."

If anyone has any information regarding this man please contact me in Hlint.

Definitely not Drow. I got the impression that he was not a good guy though.

*a Small note with the Ankh of Toran with the letter Z K below stamped on it*
I think and I might be wrong but it sounds like a encounter I had with Milara sometime back. Almost the same thing he was out side a cave and told us. "Leave or die." If it was Milara then you where lucky to live.

Was he dressed in blue robes and carrying a big glowing staff-like weapon?

If it was Milara, what do you suppose he is doing in the GreyPeak Mountains? Or for that matter, what would any of Blood's generals want over there?

Sounds about right....But then there are several others who wear blue robes and carry a glowing staff...

As to what Milara would want there...I don't know...allies? That would be a convenient place from which to launch attacks against Hlint, Fort Llast and Blackford Castle.

When I encounted Milara was wearing some kind of robe with a hood pulled up to cover it's face. He might of had a staff but I don't think so at that time he was. I only saw him for the breifest of seconds and then he was gone. he words "Leave or Die" anyone could say them but it is the similarities between the two encounters. People heading into a area where there is a entrance to a underground structure, meeting a person coverd to hide identity and said person saying "Leave or Die". To me they sound connected.

I just saw the blue robes. To be perfectly honest, I didnt really get a good look at him after he said what he said. This was right outside Storan's Crypt in the Grey Peak Mountains. No golems that I saw. There also were no ogres where I expected to encounter some.
