| Wild Surge Inn This forum is to the place to go to speak in character about things in the game, spin tales, or...Please keep this In Character (IC) at all times. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | A call to investigate the GreyPeak Mountains Several nights ago I was met at the entrance of Storan's Crypt by a strange...man. He was wearing blue robes and carrying a glowing staff. He told me to "Leave or Die." From what I can gather, this could have been Milara or possibly another of Blood's generals. I am calling on a group of adventurers to join me in investigating the surrounding area to see if we can determine what he was doing and if possible, prevent a tragedy from occuring. If it was one of the generals, you can be sure it means nothing but bad news for Hlint and Fort Llast.

//I will be outside the Wild Surge on Saturday 9:00PM EST unless it rains and I will be inside the inn. I would prefer a small party (5- since this is for an investigation and hopefully not much combat. With a large party there could be a clue go unnoticed in the shuffle. Also note this is being initiated by me and not a GM. | | |

| RE: A call to investigate the GreyPeak Mountains Owen, of course I will join in the search. Since I was with you originally, I am interested in gathering as much information as possible. However, my meditations may keep me past your starting time. I will endevour to catch you on the road. May Aeridin guide us in this quest.

I heard your conversation this night, sound very perculiar.
Would like to join, could offer my bow, Achane (my trusted bear companion) and my stealth to the cause.

I wish to thank all who aided in my investigation. While it may have seemed fruitless, it turned out to be much more. I thank you all for the help.
