Buying from another of your toons.
« on: January 27, 2010, 05:47:28 pm »
Copied and pasted from the rules section.

"....you may sell something to a character with one of your characters, which another of your characters may at some point end up buying. This is fine. However, there must be another character not under your control who handles the sale. Any such transactions must be handled in an RP fashion. "

With chests in a house now recording what goes in and out. Does this rule still stand as is? Or is it now possible to go to your other persons house and take the item that was for sale... leaving the asking price behind. The transaction now being recorded by the chest.

Thanks for your time.

This rule still stands.

The problem was with exclusive access, not with dishonest transactions, and having a third party managing the exchange was meant to allow that opportunity.

The rule still stands, in that we'd like the transaction RP'd through a third party.

Also, a few notes about money and crates:

We prefer money not be left in crates for long periods of time. Use the banks. I believe the rules on muling say something to that effect. [LORE]Player Rules[/LORE]

There are issues (bugs) with adding and leaving more than fifty thousand true in a single crate/storage unit. Not only will the recording fail and return incorrect numbers, but you may in fact lose some of the gold. From what we've tested, as long as the amount remains below fifty thousand, no coin is lost and the reporting is accurate.

EDIT: Sneaky ole' Darkstorme beat me to the punch. :p
