Can Writing Disappear From Parchments in Chests?

I had two parchments in a chest. The titles remain, but all writing I put on the parchments were erased. Is it possible for this to happen by the server, or can this only happen if someone picks up the parchment, erases it, and places it back in the chest?

they are not erased but for some reason over time, the ink seems to fade. We at the angel had a parchment left by lance a friend of ours. The ink is hardly readable now. It's a bug of sort.

over time meaning...weeks? months?
these two parchments ended up erased after 1-2 months.

I couldn't tell you the exact timing of it. But I do know it happens.

strange, so I'm finding that a parchment can be blank one day, then the writing returns another day! very intriguing...

A wee bit off-topic, but it all reminds me of those Get Smart/Inspector Gadget shows where Don Adams would get those orders from HQ with the last line "this message will self-destruct".

Oke, so you should be able to access the contents by storing it in your parchment folder and access the folder through Lore to see what is written.

ah, did not know this thing existed - parchment folder. I will look in the general store for it. As one parchment had writing that reappeared, but the other did not.

Don't Ox the parchments... that will probably wipe them clean.

Its a very good tool to view all your letters rapidly, but I have found it was a daunting experience to use properly for writing or editing messages.
