Trap time limit?

Is there a time limit on how long a trap can be placed?  I put one down, in case I needed to run away and wanted something to slow down pursuers, but it disappeared about 30 seconds after I placed it.  I don't remember traps doing that before.

As far as I know, traps aren't caught by the item cleanup script.  They either remain until your character logs out or a server reset - I'm not sure which.  Most likely it was one of the random bugs associated with Bioware code.
