Still working on it, I dont know how to add the ports directly into firewall exceptions because it wants  like .exe or there are couple other options and not sure what to do with that. But i did see NWN in the list of programs that I assume the firewall is letting through. there is incomming and outgoing...... do they both need to be 'yes'?

ok adding a port didnt work, someone mentioned a patch, i downloaded that but was it supposed to go into a specific place? Cus i just hit download. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. will keep trying though lol

In your nwn folder you will see a folder named patch. Place the downloaded patch there, then run the launcher, you know the one called nwnmain. It's where you can select to run single player, multiple player, game master, and update. Clicking the update with having the patch in that folder should update the game IF you game wasn't already up to date.

Or you can download the Critical Rebuild 1.69 patch here, which works just like installing a program (doubleclick the .exe) (Windows of course).
Dug it up through Google and Atari forums link.

I should have remembered that since bioware is no longer supporting nwn1 you wouldn't be able to download the patch from the update. Use the link Chazzler gave you to download the manual updater.

ok i put it in nwn patch folder and ran it and it came back with you cannot use this patch with your version of nwn.

Do you have a different language of NWN installed? French? German?
And do you have the Hordes of Underdark and Shadows of Undrentide expansions installed?

not sure on the language, it speaks in english so am assuming it is and no i didnt do underark and shadows....... i didnt set this up fo rme last time. Do i need to install those?

Yes you need to install the two expansions.

wow color me stupid, I should have known that or should have remembered. As soon as I read that Hellblazer I was like OMG of course. So i installed them and now i am getting i cannot even play offline because of compatibility issues with my version of windows.
