Leaving a diety

What are the steps if you feel your character who is not a cleric or paladin wants to leave his faith if he/she does not wish to join another faith or even if he/she does?

Usually after some RP and some documentation in a CDT you just request via an updated bio in the character approvals forum to have the Deity removed.  Taking on a new deity is usually a bit harder and requires a bit more documentation and RP.

If you're not a cleric/paladin, however, it shouldn't take much.  As Skywatcher said, just a few entries in your CDT and some RP, and then just make the request in Character Submissions to have your deity field cleared.

Also, if you have never been devout and thought that 'everyone needed' a deity in that field, just make the formal request for tracking purposes and it will be removed.
